Being sent down and being put on waivers isn't always the same thing. Clemmer had a 2-way contract, so he can go up and down between leagues freely, but someone like Weekes who has a 1-way contract...HE would be put on waivers both when he was sent down AND called back up.

exactly what i think, it's the best way to decide games but it's a long season already and there would be games going into 5+ OTs then turn around and have to play the next day.

IMO i think they should expand the shootout to 5 shooter for each team. 3 is too short and there's hardly any chance to come back.

Hm it's pretty hard to tell since Lundqvist obviously has more technique than Martin Brodeur... But still Brodeur somehow always finds the way the jump the right way to make a save

I'd say Brodeur, he's in the top 3 best goaltenders in the history of the NHL anyways

great saves and goals, but you you should've included some Miller saves, he is an aboslute beast in the shoot out, especially in that game against Boston. Him and Lundqvist are the two best goalies in shootouts in this NHL and yet no miller??? Yes I'm a sabres fan but in all fairness he did have the best if not one of the best records in the shootout.

A bit of excitement I guess. The league was perfectly fine without it, before it turned into a gimmicky piece of shit, shootout, more emphasis on goals, rediculous uniforms etc.

It's only neccesary for tournaments, when they need the ice. That's the only reason it was ever invented.
