  • I had one, only cart pc at the time

  • i'm not play this computer a long time.... it's took me along time to type a game from a book... it too me.. 2 or 3 hours to type a program game.. i was useless in computer those days...

  • I had one of these many years ago!! They were Shit!

  • @suttjust Totally agree. The joysticks were were those horrific things that didn't auto-centre...and the games...jeez. Next to the C64 it was a joke.

  • Do a Google search for "California" "Digital" and "Tano Dragon" and you can actually order brand new/still sealed US versions of the Dragon for $45!!! They're the NTSC/American powered versions, but still amazing that you can get these even today!

  • I have one of these for sale plus games cartridges and some rare software - see sellmyretro website

  • these computers were made in the town near me!!

  • i hope the towns industry lasted longer than the dragon!

  • loved my dragon 32! cuthbert in the jungle, leggit awesome!!

  • did you play deathchase on the spectrum? now, that was _the_ game.

  • Thanks very much for doing this video. I've recently come into possession of a Dragon 32, I saw it at a car boot, managed to get it and a huge box of games, manuals, magazines peripherals and stuff for £35.

One problem; it's not exactly clear which connector is for the audio in. Black and grey are hardly the best colours for this purpose.

Having spied that you used black, I used black and after some more fiddling I got the volume right. Would have taken a lot longer trying everything twice!

  • yum yum - them were the days!

  • Interesing Dragon 32 video, thanks.

  • dude, this is really cool. I wish I could get my hands on one. Were these released in America?

  • No Dragons parent company collapsed while they or Dragon itself was seeking to set up a North American branch.

Check out the wikipedia page on the dragon and dragon data ltd.

I really want one of these, my dad did a lot of coding on it and we still have his old tapes for it.

  • thanks for the info.

I suppose it would be possible to buy one off ebay, but that's assuming someone wants to sell theirs.

  • I´ve 3 of them, still working (2 32 and one 64)

    located in Switzerland

  • they were released as "tandata" or licensed by them hhmm.. I I got a dragon 32 today.. just cleaned it / keyboard

  • Rommels revenge, awsome, lol, had some very frustrating times with this machine, but now they are all great memories.

  • J'en avais un quand j'étais petit. c'était un super ordinateur! je jouais souvent à Crazy painter, Quest. Merci pour le souvenir.

  • How do you make the printer work?

  • create a printer driver

  • wow havent seen manic minor since 85 nice one dude ! good to hear that tune again ! aahh im 12 again

  • a game i would love to play is Quest. does anyone remember this? a great adventure were you had to gather a force and battle your way to the citadel....i really miss this game for the dragon32.

  • Initially a success, but then failed in Wales.

  • Chewing up Manic Miner?!! Surely a hanging offence!

I had a Dragon 32...now have an Xbox 360....boy, we're spoilt these days.......I am living in a golden age of computing!
