I am in the process of opening a resort in the North of Haiti where my familly is from. My project was planned way before the earthquake & now I am more determined to go. One of my partners is now planning to go into the real estate business in Haiti. As Haitians in the diaspora this is the time for us to go home and contribute to the rebuilding of Haiti. I don't believe those concerned will provide 15 billions to Haiti as expected for free. We can't afford to owe anyone for another 100 years.
I wish the ppl of Haiti the best which they well deserve. I admire u for standing up for ur ppl and ur country. U've suffered a devastating tragedy but the world is with u and are witness to the beautiful and dignified ppl u r. Stay strong w/ love.

I want to ensure you that the entire caribbean region is with you not only now, but from the beginning. You gave us all an example on that fateful day back in 1804. We have all suffered in this region and you have been bearing the mark for all of us for 200 years. I urge every person Caribbean and otherwise to come together now and show the world what we can do as one. One Love

Well said. Unfortunately right now there is violence in Haiti that comes out of desperation for the most basic needs of survival - water & food. This is typical when you are faced with this sort of trauma & nobody is in charge. Stupid government. There must be a way to show the people that they do, in fact, have the power to make things change. To get rid of corrupt officials. Let's pray for a new Haiti that is for the people of Haiti - all the people - not just the wealthy.
