Yeah, if you think about the whole box as 3d space and how the light hits the front curtain, you can pretty easily figure it out. But I like it, it was clever the first time I saw it ;)

Well it was not as inexpensive as Andrew Mayne led me to believe, but I used furniture grade materials and good quality material so my final cost was around $250.00

Well I can't divulge secrets..but for a nominal fee on Andrew Mayne's website, you can purchase the effect and all the pertinent info associated.

As you can see it is an appearance from an obviously empty cabinet. The assistant shows the cabinet empty by walking through it and closing 4 panels closing the empty box, shadows appear and then out of shadows a person appears. You can never be a jerk for asking a question.
