@gloria1969 Partly you are correct. However, after marshal law, many of those who is in political opposition to Marcos were either silenced, put in jail, and had their asset frozen & confiscated. Accusing his political opponents as communist. Not only that the US had given the Philippines aide for the US military bases there at home. Imelda was put on trial here in the US but got lucky cause she blamed it all on Marcos.
