  • Champion Edition, nothing caught my eye more than when I saw that for the first time.

  • 05:24 the Super moves were so totally rad.. What super moves?... SF2WW had none until Super Turbo...

  • Street fighter 4 3ds is my fac

  • i will say that street fighter alpha 3 is the best !!

  • How many versions of this game ARE there for crying out loud?

  • Did you ever beat M Bison?? I could never do it!

  • your dad sounds like a cool guy.

  • Guile's theme goes with Retro Mondays.

  • I recently got SF II for the SNES not so long and it's pretty decent. I've only played it once and I beat it with Ryu but however I was a beginner and started on the low setting. Soon I'll improve myself with the next few settings and I'm going to try my next plays of the game with Ken, Guile and of course, Chun-Li. I also got the Street Fighter II Animated Movie and it was awesome!

  • Who remembers that dam palm tree on Sagat's stage on the original arcade version of World Warrior?

  • alpha 3 is my favorite because it was the 1st fighting game i ever played

and its what got me into gaming in the 1st place

  • street fighter....has a complex back-story? ?

  • i take it ryu is your favorite character

  • 5:21 I feel this theme goes with everything.

  • I've checked out a few of your videos, and you're quickly becoming one of my faves. Thanks for this! :)

  • Retro Mondays: Street Fighter 2, AKA, Guile's Theme goes with Kwing

  • im sorry street fighter 2 never appealed to me...and lately i find it very overrated great video tho

  • @kNIGHTWING01 can you guys give me and my youtub channel a shout out wanna get more subs PLEASE!!!!

  • Street Fighter 2 turbo.

  • Never stop with retro mondays!

  • TURBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My favorite Street Fighter game of all time is Street Fighter 4 (whichever edition). I know call me a noob or watever but I enjoy this game the most

  • "ah, duct tape" XD

  • i got this game on my sega genesis but i can play as balrog, vega, sagat, and m. bison and i also have the game on my computer, but i can't play as the ones mentioned above, balrog, vega, sagat, and m. bison are easy to beat with chun li though.

  • knightwing01 I have street fighter 2 the world warrior

  • Comment removed

  • I only played SF2: turbo for Genesis, but I always wanted to play the on with Dee jay he's a pretty awesome character :D

  • Street Fighter 2 Turbo, its the only game you need!

  • Ahhh Street figther 2...And i Dispised Vega so much.

  • 4:28...MAN, if you think Vega was HARD in SF2 you should really see him in SNK vs CAPCOM chaos, the speed, the UNBALANCE of the game plus his broken EXCEED that doesn't require "Especial Meter" makes him quite a total annoying B#@ATCH... funny thing Sagat in the other hand is one of the easiest to beat tought.

  • @KnightWing01 Man my brother would love this review. He loves Street fighter so yea he will eat this up. He favorite game is the SF2 series is the same as your SF2 Turbo in fact we still have the for our SNES along with 2 copys of regular SF2. Yes we have to copys of that game cause the other copy was given to us by my brother gf dad with out him knowing we already had the game. But man that game is great. My brother really doesn't like SF4 but he love SF2 & would agree with you on everything

  • thanks ^_^

  • I have SFA2 :)

  • Comment removed

  • My Favorite's Street Fighter 2 TURBO. Not being cheap but i like playing as Sagat. His Tiger techniques are unpredictable and my friends always get frustrated when i use Sagat.

  • @knightwing01 Thanks! My short-term memory is so bad. Anywho, have a good day. =:)

  • Yes Mario kart 64 is the best Mario kart!

  • E.honda is my favourite fighting game character ever.

  • I don't really have a favourite Street Fighter game, but I do love using Chun Li and Guile.

  • Street Fighter II must be the most ported, remade and remastered game in the modern era. I can't think of ANY other game that quite fits the same calibre of porting and remakes of Street Fighter II

  • @Ketorulz ...hehe i guess for fighting games KOF games are the games you would be thinking about XD (lol)

  • Super Strret Fighter II=Favorite SF game.

Favorite Characters are: Cammy, M. Bison, Ryu and Guile.

  • While I will forever rememer how I bought my first Street Fighter (The World Warrior) game, I liked the most Zero(Alpha) 1 and 3. 1 due to the fact you could play two on one against the last boss and 3 due to the large roster of fighters. So many great battles!

  • @WelschNoodles what about alpha 2

  • Since its been done when reviewers from a certain site reviewed the movie and comic book, I'm a bit shocked no review of the game mentions "the plot is that M Bison is holding a tournament that is part of his plan to, you guessed it, take over the world!" and cut to the clip from the movie saying "OF COURSE!"

  • My keyboard doesn't say, "Press Start". Dang...

  • @Decker22 I can relate to that. Sometimes when I watch Kwing's videos on either of my game consoles, I want to press start too. hahaha

  • ahsjdgasdfgsa Killer instinct intro. My childhood. God i wish there was some way to play that game on the computer!

  • Is "God bless, and happy gaming" a Bob Ross reference?

  • @SkyMaro That is how he closes out all his videos. If I was to venture to guess, Kwing believes in God, which is awesome, and wants you to enjoy playing games

  • @SkyMaro

Yes, the PBS painting guy. Said Happy Painting and God Bless

  • @link70181

    Then your good to go.

  • @playinandworking09

True, but by the time this released for consoles, Snes time in the spotlight was done. I think there was a Saturn and PSX ver of the game though.

  • Saw your tweet about Voltron, Kwing. You should check this song out. They're a Christian band: /watch?v=ie5bERtAbTQ

  • @TigerWolfSpaceMoon

I did a Voltron arrangement with my friend, Infact I use that intro for some of my vds on this channel .

  • @kNIGHTWING01 Nice! What type of music do you guys play?

  • @TigerWolfSpaceMoon

    Rock/Metal

  • Can you review paper mario on the N64

  • @Jeremy5028

not this year, its on the docket though for 2012 sometime

  • I love Retro Mondays:D it really is a trip down memory lane haha aaah the life of a gamer, so many adventures we've been through and just with the help of our TV and Imagination^.^

  • @DenDhur

Doing these games is a trip down memory lane for sure, but I really like sharing my gaming past with all of you. Its a blast =)

  • Did you intend to put this review out the same day ssf4 2012 patch came out, or was it just a coincidence?

  • @mousefire777

    coincidence

  • Honestly i loved fighting games back in the day , SF2 turbo , Mk1 , 2 , 3 etc , and killer instinct. Tho now i cannot STAND fighting games. I think they are cheap games easy to make to make a quick buck for the companies , and just plain suck.

  • P.S. why was the Wii Virtual Console port of this game the damned Genesis version?! It was inferior

  • @fsmetal

You sure? Turbo is on the Snes Wii VC too. Along with Alpha 2

  • @kNIGHTWING01 Didn't they just port the Genesis version with online play?

  • Guile's theme is awesome

  • oh and i agree that vega and sagat were really really tough boss's including m. bison those three used to fustrate me alot when i was younger back in 1992

  • sorry k-wing i meant to say street fighter II turbo not street fighter I turbo sorry about that k-wing

  • and the ending theme for chun-li is also very catchy i also loved dasham's theme as well

  • Halo my friend! A small story; one of my favorite memory's is when my brother and I wear small we went to the movies and after the movie we stop at the arcai my bro was arround 7 years old and he was playing street f when a 17 year old put a quater in the machin, I thot that he was gona beat my little bro but my bro beat him so bad that the guy dident stick arround for the rematch lol. :-)

  • me and my sister used to play agisnt each other in the versus mode all the time back in the early 90s i think my sister's favorite street fighter charecter is chun-li and chun-li is also my favorite street fighter charecter too mainly because she is much faster more agile and she is the only street fighter charecter that can wall jump and for the music my favorite street fighter theme is chun-li's theme because its sound so serene, and butt kicking

  • i think my favorite street fighter game had to be the world warrior snes port mainly because its the only snes street fighter II game that has a sound test which street fighter I turbo and super street fighter II sadly didnt have a sound test but at least the vesus mode you could turn off the timer and enjoy the awesome tunes of street fighter II turbo and super street fighter II whenever you want but in the end i perfur the worlld warrior also because of nestalgia reasons

  • @heerogunkenobi

Hey man nice to hear from ya, been awhile

  • Favorite Street Fighter game of all time is easily without a doubt Street Fight Alpha 3. Best gameplay, huge roster, incredible speed, and variations of super bars. My only gripe with SFA3 is the music, but its pretty minor when I weigh it out to all the positives the game has.

  • my favorite Street Fighter is SFIII: 3rd Strike hands down

it took skill and technique to do extremely well, and the parry mechanic really made it stand apart from nearly every other fighter out there.

    A true classic

  • kwing i have the this game

  • The music really was the best. I still have trouble pulling off the dragon punch today though.

  • @jboone86

F,D,DF,F & Punch pretty simple. Think of it as tapping forward before doing the Haduken and do the fire ball sweep motion. Its pretty easy once you think of it like that way.

  • Street Fighter 3 third strike or alpha 3 upper. HOWEVER!! i love capcom vs snk 2.

  • Out of all honesty, I would prefer Street Fighter Alpha 2, maybe it's because it's one of the game to get me into fighting games

  • My all time fave SF game? Hard to say really. I loved WW and SSFII as a kid, but SFA2 has always stuck out to me. I know that Alpha 3 has more fighters and such, but it never really felt like Street Fighter to me somehow. Alpha 2 had great music, visuals, gameplay, characters, stages (A3's always felt way too cramped to me) and atmosphere. And I've been loving the SFIV series these days. :)

  • So there was massive popularity of fighting games starting in 1991, and now its FPSs. Whats next ?

  • @joelcr250

Fighting games peeked in 94. FPS games peeked around 2003 there time in the sun is coming to a close. Though Wii U is going to try and cash in with shooters soon. In all honesty i think the next big fad will be Madden or Sandbox games.

  • @kNIGHTWING01 I reckon Sandbox games moreso. Not everyone likes Madden in the world.

  • Haven't played the HD Remix, and it really is hard to choose... if the GBA would have had six buttons like it ought to have, I'd say Super Street Fighter II Turbo X: Revival... but Nintendo only gave the system two face buttons. So shoving down some old character fanboyism (some people actually aren't Cammy fans) then I too must say Street Fighter II Turbo. Speed, move options, all the reasons you cited.

  • @KamisamanoOtaku

HD remix wasn't to bad. Lots of spammers and noobs online though. Acting like they own the game. The GBA Alpha 3 was pretty awesome, even if buttons were removed. i liked it better then the PSP release.

  • the street fighter 2 anime series was even funner than the game, u can catch it on netflix, but not the alpha movies they weren't so great

  • @matthology

You talking the Street Fighter V anime or the SF2 Anime movie. Agreed Alpha movies were odd.

  • Kwing's awesomeness sent me here

  • what's with the lingo d00d?

  • @4LackOfaBetterNam3

    cause i can.

  • Is it just me.. Or has Retro Monday officially changed to Tuesday? XD

  • @VGA322

    nope

  • Super Street Fighter II Turbo. That's the game that was bundled with my Snes.

  • CAPCOM VS SNK 2 FOREVER

  • @Jib1337

Gamecube port was lame, so my exp with the game wasn't good.

  • OH MAN! Kwing qouting a fad into his review :P

Great review Kwing! I don´t really like fighting games...Mainly because i suck at them! XD

But i do know when they are quality games and when they are not :3

  • @Piesonscreations

1980s wasn't a fad, it was a big part of my life and speech too. I won't be busting out the neon cloths and mullets anytime soon though.

  • @kNIGHTWING01 Oh lol! XD

I meant the "Guile´s theme going with everything" XD

  • I bet some publishers whish they could get away with selling updated versions of the same game as new titles nowadays... although generaly if a patch adds content it's labled as DLC... although those behind the witcher series have released some beefy patches.

  • super street fighter 2

  • Hell yeah. I could play this game forever. Please do a review of Doki Doki Yuuenchi it is quite a underrated game

  • @avengedguy

I don't do requests sorry. I do think about peoples suggestions though.

  • Monday- Funday

    Tuesday - Bluesday

    Wednesday- ?????

  • @paulink

K-News day or gaming with the kwings...something day

    Chinese Take Out day!

  • Capcom please learn from your mistake and make classic again please! >:(

  • I mostly played world warrior and Alpha 3 for the Dreamcast, also tried out SUPER street fighter 2 for the GBA

  • i have never played a street fighter game :l

  • Who watched the animated movie of the game?

  • Guile's theme goes with everything

  • @NewController01

    Plan and simple

  • SF II > SF IV

  • I used to be a Street Fighter but then I took a Hadouken to the knee.

  • @ScreamStep

    XD

  • @kNIGHTWING01 Hey K-Man ,if possible, can you do a Capcom vs Snk review? It's one of my favorite Retro Fighters =)

  • Hey kwing (or any of u other nice people making comments) can u recomend any street fighter that is good for newbies? (preferably a old one)

  • @RayMaster32

for new players? the 3DS Super Street Fighter 4. It has touch controls, plus you will get a feel for how the characters work and can lean into using moves on your own.

  • I have always been a tekken Person :)

  • i hate chun li....

  • @thereymon333

    "Phoenix R Kick" KO!

  • @kNIGHTWING01 bad memories....

  • Hey Kwing! I grew up playing Turbo, and I still love it to this day! Chun-Li is still my fighter of choice, and she's hot!!

  • @kingplayer14

Hot? She is just a sprite.

  • Hey kwing, just wondering if you were planning to review all of the iterations of street fighter 2... I heard that ssf2: the new challengers is possibly the best version. Anyway, keep up the great work, you're one the greatest reviewers evar! :D

  • @shaxam1029

hmmmm probably not. Ive done Turbo and this. I might look at Alpha 2 or 3 one of these days and maybe one of the EX games. That's about it. Thanks of watching.

  • street fighter 2 is a great fighting game but why is street fighter 3rd strike not given the same love as street fighter 2?

  • I've actually never played a single Street Fighter game in my life. The closest I've ever come was Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, which had Street Fighter characters in it.

  • @Ryanmiller70

    Really? WOW

  • Awesome new Intro Kwing

  • @Ace5ization That intro isn't new. He's used that for all of Retro Mondays.

  • @Ryanmiller70 ok then

  • @Ace5ization

New? How long have you been away from my vids? Just curious.

This Intro has been used since 1080 Snowboarding RM

  • Who's TB?

  • @GameCrew98

    Seriously? Totalbiscuit.

  • @kNIGHTWING01 Oh, well I know who that is!

  • @GameCrew98

Wait Kwing doesn't Street Fighter only excist 20 years?

  • @janfeyen9

First SF game was in 1987 it's 2011.

  • @kNIGHTWING01

oh ok, IU guess it must be Street Fighter 2's 20 anniversary then, anyway thanks Kwing

  • I really cant choose which is my favorite street fighter game. I just love the franchise.

    Ryu FTW

  • @MrESPNoza24

I agree with ya, the franchise is one of my favs too

  • TB sent me here, but the thumbnail made me click this :)

  • @mrminecraft692

I see what you did there. I tried to make it look like she was casting her fireball attack.

  • i was felling really sick not anymore cause of this

  • THE MOY TOY BOXER SAGAT

  • Last night I couldn't sleep(like always) so I was playing some Street Fighter, then I awake to a review of Street Fighter. COINCIDENCE? YES, yes it is. Great review man!

  • @Yuriofwind

plain and simple, i planned on releasing the game yesterday, it didn't happen.

  • @kNIGHTWING01 Well things happen man o_o.Retro Tuesdays are cool too :3. Retro any day of the week works actually.

  • Awesome Mario kart 64 is the best,

  • Street fighter 2: The new challengers. The AI really knows how to use feilong on higher stars - he's almost as aggravating as vega and sagat

  • street fighter is epic

  • Probably Super Street Fighter II. Me and my friend just did an LP of it actually. It was super fun. :D

Thanks for this video Kwing, it brought back a lot of memories. ^_^

  • My favorite sf2 game is KILLER INSTINCT. BRING BACK KI3

  • Sagat & M.Bison = RAGE

  • @Lollipop708 mortal kombat holds the record for most clones if i remember could be wrong

  • @IscreamlikeBrucelee i guess :[

  • i love super street fighter 2

  • Ah, back when gaming was good

  • @Fsharpable

a bold statement, I like that. Though not all gaming today is bad.

  • Horray for Guile('s Theme)!! But if Ken and Ryu basically have the same moves, what's the difference in playing them aside from cosmetic changes?

Mostly played Alpha2 and only the girls there, also Turbo, but not as often. I was bad and mostly button mashed ..

    C-A

  • @CatMuto

Ryu has a better Fireball and is more powerful. Ken is faster, his tornado kick is a mini combo and his Dragon Punch does more damage. So diff is Power vs Speed.

  • My fav was Super Street Fighter 2 in the Arcade

  • You know, as a gamer, I've never really been a fan of the whole fighting genre. In fact, the only fighting games I actually collect are the DBZ & Naruto fighting games but that's because I'm a huge fan of their shows/mangas. Though that doesn't mean I've never played Street Fighter. My biggest problem was mainly the fact that a good friend of mine had such an easy time remembering everyone's move sets and could totally kick my butt each and every time. Unless I was /really/ cheap. lol

  • My subscription box sent me here :D

  • @liquidvelocity

nice to know it is working then.

  • To my knowledge, Street Fighter 2 still has the most clones and holds the Guinness World Record for it (if it's not that, then i know it holds record in something)

  • this is the only video game i've ever truly been addicted too. i used to walk up to the convenience store in the early morning and plug the machine in myself to start playing. i wasn't as hooked to the console port, you need a joystick and some large tacky buttons.

  • its not called a Hurricane kick, its called I'D LIKE SOME POUND CAKE!!!!

its not called a uppercut its called SURE U CAN!!!!

its not called a fire ball its called AREYOU KEN!!!!!

  • @IscreamlikeBrucelee

    Brilliant

  • Tumbs up for Total Biscuit and his underlings!
