Sooner or later those kids are going to have to make a decision either go home or let their hearts pull them back into the realm their already in..Can't they see this is the situation each time? Personally I think dungeon master is behind the whole thing for his own enjoyment knowing full well what they'll encounter for his own enjoyment. He may even be from our realm entertaining himself and schooling "victims" at the same time. Maybe those kids are lucky to have vengor b/c wants them out too.

The same company that did this, Marvel Productions, also did the Transformers. They typically recycled music and sound effects back then. They also used the same background music for the Incredible Hulk cartoon that was airing at the same time on NBC (which was jarring, since you flicked over to Hulk and heard the same music). Also, studios usually had a stable of voice actors they preferred to work with, which is why Peter Cullen is here.

Hmm maybe not, most beholders have an HP of 98, and an armor class of 23.

So their are nine of them and one of it but still, these level 1's couldn't even take the 3D6+13 DMG from Finger of Death, if they make the save, which they wouldn't.

So still one Beholder would kick all of their asses. Unless one of those mages in their party can cast "Tasha's hideous laughter" and make it lose a round or two while they whail on it.

This cartoon was made before 3rd edition, very different rules, I wasn't aware they were level 1, I'm not sure what level they are, let's just say the cartoon is hardly Canon, for one, there seem to be no goddamn swords.

You can't defend aginst a petrify spell with weapons or shields, you need to make a resistance check, a DC of like 20 I think.

Let me think those kids look like they have an Armor class of 2. And the Beholder has one of 35 or 40. Damn fur armor.

If I were it I would just use the Distentegrate spell. Easy pickings.

I thought of Eye of The Beholder, the video game and I saw this whole cartoon, and they didn't have any of the monsters I've fought in the game, only they got the Beholder right. It's a 2 star rating, anyways. Nice try!! Would've been better if they had some of the monsters I was used to, when I played the video game in 1995.

@myjeffery I've been a AD&D fan since 1993, and the first game I've played was 'Warriors Of The Eternal Sun'. I got into AD&D by the games, not the cartoons. I've never watched one of them in my entire life, I didn't know they existed. I'm just assuming it's from the '80s because it wasn't aired in the '90s. If it was aired, I would watch these cartoons for sure but I couldn't watch any of these cartoons because I live in Canada, and no station carried it. I go by the games, that's all.
