@freyrkin Swearing. And I can see why. Tate had no clue how to fight. Typical highschool wrestler turned mma athlete, and Coenen, who is a real fighter, loses to some lucky position for Tate. That sucks. This is the kind of MMA nobody wants to see, where the much worse athlete wins from a much better one on blind luck.

Coenen was well prepared but lost concentration and went easy on her from the beginning. Never ever underestimate your opponent. Tate's strenght is her wrestling, Coenen should have used her knees and elbows.

@theraff1975 so its not convincing after everything coenen did to her for 3 rounds that she still manages to win, also at submissions which is her opponnents strength?? I dont know, maybe i am seen this very diff, but i do think it was convincing enough. A win is a win, I would take that away from any fighter and i look foward to her fights as well to see how it evolves

You know? I agree that a win is a win, and that Miesha managed to submit Marloes. Props to her for that.

BUT, even on the ground and from the bottom, Marloes kept the action going.

I am just not a big fan of the type of fighting style (lay'n'pray). Except for the last submission by Miesha (which was sick), I wasn't much impressed by what she did in the fight.

On the other hand, Marloes placed 3 guillotines, tried a kimura, tried a rear naked choke... and showed great stand-up.

@anothermusicfan and after all that punishment Marloes put on Miesha, she still wins, VERY IMPRESSED with Miesha. I totally agree with you on Marloes' more technical and skilled game. But we were originally talking about Miesha not been impressive, hell, any fighter prob thought the same thing after all that punishment she still pulls out a choke on a superior fighter?? I dont know whats impressive to you, but thats hella impressive to me. Props to both girls, they had a really good fight IMO.

Miesha won by lay'n'pray and by taking advantage of the fairly big hole in Marloes' wrestling game. Not a convincing performance, in my opinion.

Still, Marloes proved to be more skilled (nearly submitted Miesha in rd. 1 with her guillotine; had far better stand-up game and outstruck Miesha; had effective ground and pound in rd. 2 and had those sick reversals).

It's tough to see a one-dimensional fighter as Miesha being the champion.

I am sure Sarah Kaufman will get that title back in no-time.
