I need someones help, im getting some turntables and i want to get scratch live for it but do you have to use a certain mixer or can you use any mixer???

@Hellochurros Easiest way to go would be to get a Rane TTM 57SL mixer if you don't have a mixer yet. Rane just released two new mixers (and a limited version of one of those), so the price may drop a little on the 57SL, check auction sites for people selling them to upgrade. If you want to use another mixer you'll have to get the SL1 or SL3 box and it will be more complicated and may not work. Good luck.

@RickyEminence He's using a powered USB hub for the controllers, with the 57 plugged directly into the front USB port. Scratch Live interfaces should always be plugged directly into the computer, but you can link controllers up on a powered hub no problems.

whats funny about this video is everything hes doing could be done with just the 57 and not the dicers/vfx-1.

hes just triggering on/off for the fx and cue points, which you can map to the group buttons on the 57s front panel in group 5

See, even SL knows dubstep is 70 bpm and not 140bpm. i hate when people say dubstep is 130-140bpm. If that were true, the beat would be twice as fast, like breaks.
