He's a man of integrity - born and raised in rural Minnesota, he served as a Methodist pastor in Blaine for almost a decade and then as mayor there. He also served as Minnesota Transportation Commissioner. He is articulate, intelligent and will do a fine job serving us in congress.

Frattve, people making $30K buy cars, pay for cable, buy food, pay driver's license fees, property taxes, haircuts, buy clothes, pay electric bills, gas bills, and they're in huge numbers. If this weren't so, then retail stores would not be suffering losses and consumer spending would not be done. I've made $30K and I know what I spent; multiply that by many people. Taxes used to much higher; during Reagan, the wealthy got all sorts of perks. Use history as a guide. They blew it.

It's the wealthiest 5% in the country who make $250,000 & up. They're paying like 10% right now w/tax breaks. Some take the tax credit but are shipping jobs overseas. You're complaining about the taxes you're paying under a REPUBLICAN party. If you're not wealthy like McCain et. al then you don't count. They need your $50,000 to make up for their tax cuts.

I'm a female & I agree that abortion shouldn't be used as a contraceptive. I'm pro-choice but don't believe in abortion unless cases of rape, incest or health of the mother. However abortion is not about right or wrong with me. I must draw a line & protect rights for women. If the government & radicals overturn Rowe v. Wade, what next? It's very dangerous to allow any government bodies to control women. Also, I don't want to see innocent girls & women butched in allys again.

If you paid over $50,000 in taxes last year, then you paid more in taxes than the average American earns in one year ($48,000). I can completely understand that the wealthy don't like giving up much or any of what may well be hard-earned money.
