hey i need help because evertime i increase my fan speed and then i play grand theft auto iv and then it changes the fan speed changes back to normal speed PLEASE HELP!!!! :(

set the number of core click , memory and shader tu 400 ! then go in a game (crysis) so you ll see nothing changed and fps is the same with THIS FUCKING rivatuner ! maybe my pc has fucking problem my vga is 8800 GT BFG oc1 .thx

dude all you do is select your graphics card on the main menu then go to settings and right click that one thing and go to settings then you just put the memory clock, core clock, and shader clock up by about 100 then uncheck the overclock thing and check it again then turn ure fan up to get rid of the extra heat

So there's 2kind of options to pick of on the begining, STOCK and OVERCLOCKING what are they doing? backup just incase you decrease or increase something? im confused and why shouldn't i overclock at my new pc...

Those are saved presets. Riva tunner has a toolbar icon which you can right click on and select a custom overclock. This way I can select stock when surfing the net ect and then simply select my overclocking preset when Im ready to game or benchmark. Then switch right back on the fly when im done. Its pretty nifty.

so if i click rivatuner up then click launcher then click on the thing below and i can just choose what speed at the fan i want and what MHZ? im a bit confused

It dosen't overclock both cards at once, well not the fan speed.. BUt it ok i figurer out, just needed to turn off crossfire while control the card's,

then turn it on again.

uhhh...when you overclock one card it does both at the same time...

do you actually see different clocks for each cards using GPU-Z?

im thinking like 7 hours over clocking or probably like 13

depends on how big your overclock is and what temperatures youre getting.

I mild overclock can be ran 24/7 while an extreme overclock used in benching wont be effective for long. Temps start to kreep up and youll start getting crashes. You can squeeze out huge performance leaps from verysmall OCs. I highly recomend it.

When i hit customize instead of "system settings" it says "Low-level system settings". And then when i click that, it brings me to a window called " Low level system tweaks" but it doesn't have any of those sliders.

i just got this XFX 9800GTX and my 3dmrk was only 8500 something, but it was run on the stock driver(cuz XFX's homesite is closed right now)

u should of just got the GTS. its cheaper, runs a lot cooler, and can be overclocked a LOT more than a GTX.

Dude, when I click rivatuner, I got this message "Cannot load Riva Tuner64.sys driver. Please ensure that this file exist in Riva Tuner's folder and your user account has administarative rights." After that it will ask me to click YES to reboot my PC or Press NO to cancel and go to rivatuner...

Does anyone have an idea what this message mean?

i tried it couple weeks ago but it wouldn't fix the fan speed problem on my 9800GTX. i got a GX2 on the way now however (Step Up program, evga), hoping it doesnt have the same problem. Riva tuner is gr8 though. works with my old 8800GT just fine. and btw, i'm swapping cards just due to the fan spd deal.. cus it's a known driver problem, maybe bios as well, who knows.
