The purchase price was $350.00, my old monthly bill was $89.00 per month, times that by 24 months , that is $2136.00 minus the $350.00 I saved $1786.00, every month I save $89.00.
The company is starting to give special programs so you can pay $9.99 per month that will keep them in business. I just need the basic.
I tried Magic Jack it is fine but you must keep your computer on to get calls. the reception is not so hot.
Magic Jack is better, cheaper, and more versatile. And what happens if Ooma goes out of business.. the big upfrontcost to buy that box is gone, and no service.
@upcycle. Get off magicjack's dick. How the f&ck can u say its "better" - some freaking device that has to be connected to your computer all the time - so your computer has to be on 24/7 depends on the computer's stability and throughput. Go fucking look at the ooma reviews. Plus ooma has better features.
Magicjack is complete garbage. Ooma goes for less than $175, so pays for itself in less than 5 months.
because i checked them both out and Magicjack has more verasatility. for one, magicjack is smaller and can be operated from a wireless network. And for those that want a stand alone system to mimick a hardwired landline, like touted by the ooma, they can merely attach the magicjack to a inexpensive netbook ($150 or so) and it can do that too.
@upcycle wow how long have you been working for Magicjack asshole? Go read the reviews of magicjack v. ooma. You idiot, you would buy a separate computer to be on 24/7 for $150?? Are you crazy, so you can waste electricity running a fucking netbook for a phone, nice logic dickhead.
Google magicjack and see the 1st related searchs that come up "scam" "problems" "sucks". It's complete garbage.
I have ooma I have had it for about 2 years:

QUESTION: Can I use this Ooma overseas like in Asia (Hongkong or Philippines)?
I will buy Ooma here in USA and register it here and send it to my relatives overseas for them to call me - from Asia to USA?
Needless to say, buy and register in USA and use it overseas - outside USA.
