  • will this controler work on all n64 consoles

  • It's a great controller, but it ain't cheap, you can get a N64 console for cheaper.

  • Well, I found one on Amazon for 75 bucks... forget it...

  • just had mine today, realy great thing, and for the one who wonder,it is a licensed 3rd party controler, this mean it is only separate.

  • If it's licensed, why is the Nintendo Seal not on it?

  • Am I the only one who seems to have a hard time running diagonally with this controller in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask? In some directions, even if I press as hard as I can, Link just walks. The Zelda games are the ONLY games I have this problem with. Anything I could do to fix this?

  • This should have been the gamecube controller. I dont like the gamecube controller. But this thing is BADASS!!!!

  • what are the dimensions ?

  • Does tis work on an NTSC N64?

  • Isint that a gamecube stick?

  • @Bob2IzIcon Not exactly, but it's very similar.

  • Just to be absolutely sure... it works on NA N64 right?

  • @13CJohnny Yes, of course!

  • @TheronInc Did you try the Superpad 64 / Makopad? I was just wondering if you had and if you could compare it to the Hori Mini. I heard good things from both, but never one comparing to one another.

  • There's no Z button?

  • @cheaterdragon1 Oh, there is, it's just no longer a trigger but a shoulder button instead.

  • THe best controller i ever used was the controller of the original xbox yes the big one (i have big hands)

  • It looks cool, but I do have big hands so 40 to 50 bucks for that thing is quite a gamble. IT also looks like it would be horrible to use the dpad on that thing since its so close to the buttons.

  • @Lazyhoboguy Well, I can't remember using the N64's dpad that often anyway, so I wouldn't consider this a big problem. If you have big hands however, you might indeed not be happy with the Hori Mini.

  • @Lazyhoboguy I also have big hands. Use the makopad by interact. It is alot better than an n64 gamepad with a longer cord. google the image and you will see it looks more like a regular gamepad instead of a wierd 3 prong thing that the n64 gamepad was. hope this helps.

  • My control stick is worn out a lot from playing Mario Party so much :(

  • Is there anyplace beside ebay that has these?

  • i don't hold my n64 controller like that i have my left hand near the d pad and my left thumb is on the analog stick and my left and right middle fingers are on the z trigger and my first fingers are on l and r and the rest of my fingers are on the left and right hand holds sounds painful but it really isn't

  • @slapppyisme

Dude, How do you hold it like that?

  • @sourmilky i can make a youtube vid for you about how i hold it

  • @slapppyisme

    Yeah, that would be cool.

  • @sourmilky alright i will i'll tell you when i post or if i forget remind me

  • Thanks for this video, it was really helpful because i want to buy this controller.

  • have u beaten bowser 100 times

  • @NikeThe I wouldn't place bets on it, but I think so. XD

  • The music is hilarious.

    0:58 - 1:02 hahaha

  • wow where can i buy this....

  • Can u buy 1 @ eBay?

  • i want one of these badly

  • Best N64 controller!

  • Since this game pad was only released in Japan, will it only work on Japanese n64 consoles or is that only an issue with the games?

  • @nzo41x It works on all systems with all games.

  • I just bought one of these off ebay as a result of your incredibly helpful overview!

    Thanks very much!

  • @Pookiablo That's great to hear, glad you found this helpful! =)

  • where did you get your minipad? i've been searching for a while now :\

  • @lordfoxglove Ebay.^^

  • If you ever sell your pad, let me know. I'm interested in buying another.

  • I wonder how that would work for games like kirby and the crystal shardsz with uses the d-pad instead instead of the control stick

  • Have you used your mini pad a lot? If so, how does the control stick function over time? Does it say nice and firm, or does it degrade a lot?

  • @blowmeuptomleykis Of course I have, once you go Mini, there's no going back to the regular pad. =)

It's just as durable as the Gamecube controller, so to me, it's the ultimate 3rd party pad as it surpasses the regular joypad.

  • @TheronInc I got my pad, and I love it.

  • I ordered one of these. Will it work on my UK N64?

  • @blowmeuptomleykis Yes! =)

  • Hello I was wondering if this controlleer joystick wears out

  • Now its fucking $86 on ebay, and that is for used condition...

  • Dude this is officially licensed by Nintendo right?

  • @Rockmans1989 Yes, that is correct.

  • that is probably the most uglyest gamepad i've ever seen

  • i love this vid. hope u make more!

  • @khainguyen98 Thanks! =)

  • lol "zed Buttons"... But no seriously these damn things are very expensive.

  • Is it availble in black, I'm assuming

  • @BlackwolfX It's pretty much available in all color variations the original pads were released in, but finding a specific color might be hard.

  • I can't find this anywhere - not even on eBay!

  • It's important to be patient as they are rare. Just keep checking eBay from time to time, and eventually somebody will list one for sale again. This is not the kind of hardware that people tend to sell without regrets. =)

  • If you for some reason decide to sell yours, please let me know. ;) Guess patience is my only option.

  • @TheronInc How can I ease the stress and learn to live with these regrets??

  • I don't know, maybe your N64 will forgive you someday.^^

  • @TheronInc You should listen to Reasonable Doubt (album) in order to get what i just said.

  • whow.. i never knew it was licenced by nintendo themselves, that means that there is a official gc sontrolstick, which rocks

too bad they are so rare!

  • Do you own the Hori Digital Controller for the GameCube? It's a pretty nice controller, especially for D-pad compatible games.

  • No, mostly because the Gamecube isn't my first choice when playing 2D-fashioned games. I could use it for the GameBoy Player, though...

  • It looks like a much better design than the original N64 controller and as someone said before it does have a very similar design to the Gamecube controller.

But Nintendo have perfected their controller design with the Gamecube and Wii classic controller pro.

  • Gotta try and track one of these babies down!

  • nis video

  • Where did you buy it?

  • eBay...

  • looks pretty good.

  • looks similar to the gamecube doesnt it does look alot better...oh lol you said the same as mebaout the gamecube controller lol

  • Lol, yeah, the similarities to the Gamecube controller are pretty obvious. =D
