Edge of Sanity, Death, Obituary, Gorguts, Gomorrah, Repulsion, Monstrosity, etc. played much better DM than Cannibal Corpse does/did. Corpse are just so boring and dull in my opinion.

I don't mind Darkest Hour, I love their love for At The Gates and they play a good live show, looking forward to catching them on Summer Slaughter.

Sepultura had some early good albums but again haven't made anything worth listening to since the early 90s. I won't even respond to six feet under just cause they fucking suck. I love death, morbid angel, and a lot 80s 90s metal but people need to learn that a band isn't good just cause they have been making music for awhile.

Melodic: has a strong melody element (the catchy part of the song)

Death: constant changes in speed, deep gravelly vocals (moreso when screaming)

core: has the elements of a breakdown

And im not just saying that to end all disputes between people & make everyone happy. Its just that IS what they are. Darkest Hour have ALWAYS refer to themselves as "just a Metal band". And when you look at it from that point-of-view it makes TOTAL sense cuz of all these collective sub genres that the end result is just....METAL.
