ok i have a question thats really random if anyone wants to answer it: do russians mainly have dark hair or blonde? i was watching the olympics this year and all the russians had blonde hair and everytime i see russians anywhere else, they have dark hair. Im so confused!

id say it depends on the region where person live, my guess is blond haired are widespread in the north-western part. in mariel, where i lived, most people has black hair.

Geneticly slavs have blonde to brown hair

with inclination to blonde. But nowadays there is a lot dark hared coz of mixtures of nations + most of "russians" in USA are ethnically jews armenians georgians etc.

I agree with most people here. It really depends on the region of Russia. After all, it spans almost across two continents, with countless ethnic minorities. And even within those ethnic minorities, there are variations in appearance. Just taking a stab in the dark, I'd guess that there are the ratio of blonds to brunettes in Russia is about the same as in Spain. There are a few blonds, but most are dark. Especially if you count the Russians from East of the Urals.

Does not depend on the region of Russia. I say this as someone who lives in the "national" (where most of the Turkic peoples, but not Russian) region of Russia. In Russian male in the majority of brown hair, medium dark. Dark-haired men are scarce.

I'm learning Russian right now with the Rosetta Stone software. It's a beautiful langauge, I can only do baby talk though, so far. спасибо.

i am learning online and also if you have certain cable companies they have languages on there on the on demand feature. my kids are learning too and my 1 yr old will sit for hours listening to it. and my daughter is learning french in school and she impressd her french teacher by counting and knowing her colors in russian.
