I own one. I like it . I use on guitar I use it on the glamour box and a ring modulator with microphone and feedback loops It slices and it dices., it won't do laundry or windows and insists on getting paid while watching the soaps . try it before you by it
one of the best pedals i own.. bought this 1year ago'; the first days i was wondered because i was not able to set it very well and most of the sound produced were confused. Then after several attempts i started to learn the behaviour of this pedal, and the possibilities to have different sounds are unlimited; the video is long 7'45'' but i think it could be filmed a video demonstration of an hour and there would be something to show yet. Very verstatile even if sometimes too uncontrollable
I have dreamt of a custom wavetable synth effector pedal but with a bajillion preset waves this might be the next best thing. No gimmicks I don't need, just sick waves.
Maybe someday there might be a double or triple oscillator model? If anybody knows of such a thing please message me
Thats why I'm scanning for weird crazy pedals, I'm in a band thats kinda like them, so I'm trying to find crazy sounds to incorperate in our music lol
WHOO I got the Geiger Counter a few days ago, and it feels incredible. The response, sensitivity to picking attacks, and overall *feel* of this pedal is awesome...I'll have to put up a demo video soon lol
i agree. its not as heavy on any setting as some of the death by audio pedals, but thats hardly the point. This has so many different voices to play with, and its technically an analog pedal, because the digital programming isnt used as it was intended. Most of the sound is from the internal pre-amp circuit
i would pay double the asking price for this item, its revolutionary really.
Yeah, most digital pedals use advanced processors, tons of IC's and chips. This has a few simple chips, but through functional controls and an 8 bit interface you can create all sorts of awesome sounds that you couldnt possibly emulate otherwise.
Unlike most of the usual sounds you "couldnt possibly emulate" which are usually useless, these are fun, functional and err.... f-intuitive?
OK.. so the thing produces some really freaky sounds.. but the question is.. how many of them are really USEful? and how many Fuzz/Overdrive units do ya really need? There are SO many as it is.. and let's face it, $300 is not cheap for a pedal.

How does it work with the controlled voltage (CV) Input. Please show examples!!!

the guy playing guitar isnt very imaginative. chugga-chugga and blues licks with dive bombs doesnt do this pedal any kind of justice.

Spocksbrother 2 years ago
yeah kinda XD
you can get this sort of sound from a fuzz factory if you fiddle with the knobs enough XD
but this just looks more fun XD
jamesstone123 2 years ago
@jamesstone123 nah, this guy doesn't show half of what this pedal does, it kills the fuzz factory
louisalive 2 years ago
quite true but i built a factory for 20 quid using parts i found in an old vintage amp and 2 NOS ac128's XD
admittedly the factory isnt cost effective either but it is a lot less than this XD
this is still my favorite out of the two but id never be able to afford one:(
jamesstone123 2 years ago
@jamesstone123 the death by audio robot is really cool aswell :)
louisalive 2 years ago
Yea about that robot. I'm looking for synth and computer like tones(with octaves..) Will I get that from this pedal or is the robot a better choise?
jasspie 2 years ago
@jasspie i dno dude, which do you prefer?
louisalive 2 years ago
I'm torn so I dunno. Does the geiger counter octaves too:O?
jasspie 2 years ago

oh fuck yeah you should.
its the most colourful and interesting distortions i've ever fecking heard XD

I read in a review of this pedal from some big guitar magazine (forgot which) that alot of the sounds are really usable, not just f#$#$ cool.

It's a good pedal, most are very useful, and all are fun to add into the background for some frieky sounds.

In a regular metal band? Perhaps no, but if you actually use whats given I'm pretty sure you can use it for alot.

But man what a killer pedal, can't wait to buy one

wow ... a wavetable sound mangler for guitar ...
what an idea! now I have to try my old PPG with
the guitar as analog input ... but I think the
wavetables in the geiger are more suited for guitar.
