One should be careful when taking pictures of the conflict between Israel to the Arabs who since day 1 try to annihilate her. when one as an individual looks at a pic he or she can assume many things.. There have been many pictures that have been staged. there are many pictures that have been taken that have been taken as is. but pic can never explain the emotions behind the actions. smiles and tears can be faked. AND NO pictures don't explain alone whats going on in the world. WORDS do not express enough.

i agree and disagree with you, i think that while images can be staged the truth of the matter is these things are actually going on, and yes words and images cant fully express the emotion and terror of war but what photography does is, in this case tip the balance of indifference, inspire people like you and i to help those who lack the means to help themselves. James Nachtwey and other such photographers are inspirational protesters, we should be so lucky to do such things with our lives.

I think photographs CAN say more than words can.

I've been at many photo exhibition and you can see the difference between a fake smile and a real one.

Here's a tip: read the context of the photograph, look at it more than 1 minutes and open your mind.

Pictures actually helps awareness.
