  • Its me again, lol.

may i ask what is the accuracy your FPT can handle while in this bore milling operation with the 2 inch dia tool. 0.001 ?

I am really collecting a lot of info about this FPT coz the one i work with is pretty messed up and there is a couple jobs we had to refuse because of its poor accuracy.

The company bought the machine from a bankruptcy, and since they almost had no experience on machining ( all welders ) they kind of neglected its many maintenance needs.

  • paid by the hour :)

  • so many solutions ......so little time

  • Get that speed n Feed up!! lazy Bastard! :P

  • @memorylane1980s It is probably feeding as fast as it should considering the size of the workpiece. the diameter of the cutter and the amount of unsupported sideload on the long facemill shank.

  • @cdickenson64 I agree on that, and if that's a cast ductile iron piece, it's a pretty tough material.

  • is that an FPT ?!

  • They should blow some air to prevent remilling the chips on the lower part of the pipe

  • @robhan4 I agree, those chips are getting snagged into the cut, kind of makes me want to get the airline on my laptop......Great clip though..!

  • That face mill is larger than 2.0...

  • that job look eternally boring

  • @kaleb4444 boring jobs usually are...well...boring...

  • Must be for a big engine.

  • FPT Machines.., very good!!

  • Wow that is one ugly pipe. Bead blast that thing!
