  • hi how you can get mac for pc please tell me or do a tutorial

  • Window 7: 20 seconds

    Me: ok sure

    Mac OSX: 27 seconds

Me: Ok 7 more seconds wont hurt

    Ubuntu: 14 seconds

Me:So where is a link where i can download it?

BTW I have all 3 OS Triple Boot :P

  • como haces para tener tantos sistemas operitivos en una computadora

  • wow i wanna have your pc *-*

  • It's not an original OSX. This isn't valid!

    Stupid Ubuntu fanboys.

  • @Antostorny Correct, it is not a Mac PC, which you could consider making this invalid. However, Ubuntu, or to be more specific, Linux overall, is faster than Mac OS X. In case you are not aware both Linux and OS X are based off Unix, but Linux is more optimized for speed than OS X.

  • @Antostorny /watch?v=GTlep-e-1-o&feature=fvwrel there. thats an original mac. guess which is faster? still ubuntu. get over it. linux is the fastest, safest most advanced os in the world. suck it windows and mac fans.

  • mac fanboys are pc haters :D

  • You don't have to use Terminal to unzip files in OSx! misinformation...

  • veido lol

  • Liens qui marche pour telechargement ubuntu version 10.04 et version 11.10

  • This isn't fair. Windows isn't fully started up when it's on the login screen. But when Mac is on that screen, you can directly work with it on its amazing speed. When you log in to Windows, THEN the start up component are loading. On that moment, Mac has already done that.

  • @iMarkbb /watch?v=GTlep-e-1-o&feature=fvwrel mac is faster than windows. but the thing is ubuntu is still faster than both :)

  • Linux = The Best

  • Are you using ubuntu 32 or 64 bits?

  • I don't see why you'd use Terminal to unzip, can't you just double click like everyone else? (On OS X)

  • Your MacOSX results are pointless, as you're running a hackintosh and generally speaking, they boot MUCH SLOWER than real Macs do. Every Mac i've ever owned boots super fast ~ not 30secs.

the rest of the video was interesting, but not all that surprising, other than i expected win7 to be a bit faster on a couple things.

    nice job.

  • @triplesquarednine My mac boots in 30 secs, but it's kinda old (2008 model).

  • @KixuFox I don't know whether you think i'm daft or something - but you are using Chameleon Bootloader, real Macs DONT use that.

Again, you are running a hackintosh - it is obvious to anyone who has installed OSX on a PC, and you even make mention of your tutorial on how to install OSX on a PC.

Thus my initial response stands. Using a hackintosh to compare boot times is silly, because they almost always take WAY LONGER to boot.

  • @triplesquarednine furthermore, even benchmarking a hackintosh is sort of a waste of time, because they don't always behave or work as well as the real thing.

  • @triplesquarednine I have to disagree me and my sister own a mac but i still like the system on my machine better. Its faster, Cheaper and simply better (on two monitors)

  • @seife96 ~ read what i wrote "they don't *always* behave...". Some Hackintosh's are fine (totally depends on hardware), your hackintosh may be fine - but it still boots REALLY slow. ie: *not working like the real thing*.

I'd be willing to bet in other areas such as 3d animation / video editing / proaudio your box doesn't behave as well as a 'same spec' Mac. I'd also bet going through OSX/system log files i would be able to find problems directly relating to running OSX on a PC.

  • @triplesquarednine Also, it's dishonest to insinuate that benchmark in the video was done on a Mac, and even tell me yours is a 2008 model and boots in 30seconds -> when in reality that was a LIE - it's a hackintosh.

  • @triplesquarednine The poster of the video is Selfe96, not I. I'm using an iMac, and I've never heard of chameleon bootloader. =/

Please check people's names before you respond to them.

  • @KixuFox oh, didn't see that. sorry ;) You jumped in on the conversation, and i just thought you were him.

FYI you might wanna give your Mac some TLC ~ i used to own a 2008 iMac, booted fast as well, you mac must be getting bogged down, or something.

and FYI Chameleon is a bootloader that is used to boot Darwin/MacOSX on normal PC hardware. (as the person is doing in the video, ie: his computer isn't a mac. He probably has just pirated MacOSX & installed it violating Apple's EULA

  • @triplesquarednine I take good care of my mac, but it's got about around 100 GB of applications installed, almost all necessary for my school. =/

  • @KixuFox - do you use Monolingual app to remove all of the locales? (for languages you don't speak/use). It also will allow you to remove all of the PPC/legacy code from your apps (this gives a little boost). Doing both of these is good if you have a lot of apps installed, as OSX use the Mach-O binary format, so all apps contain code that your Mac doesn't really use/need.

do you fix system file permissions (run disk utility) regularly?

onyx/maintenance are good to have to.

  • @triplesquarednine I mention these, particularly the fixing permissions stuff, because the amount you have installed *in itself* shouldn't slow down your boot time, really.

  • How do you intall three OS? Make a How To vid PLEASE! :D

  • OS X requires unzipping from a command line, and you're saying it's the best for average users? I enjoyed your video, but that claim seems dubious at best. Most users never use a command line.

  • @Davesfavoritethings You don't have to use a command line, you just double click on a zip file to unzip it in OSX.

I asked around, and a commenter seemed to think that he used the command line instead of OSX's usual unzipping utility because the command line is faster, but a lot of things aren't adding up in my mind. =/

  • @KixuFox I should add that after some googling, I've yet to find a source that backs up what that commenter said.

  • Windows has average booting, well unzipping, and poor converting. Windows gets a C Mac OSX has poor boot, poor unzipping and average converting. D+ for Mac OSX Ubuntu a well system indeed Well boot, well converting average unzip. Windows and Ubuntu passed tech Class 6th comparision now moving to 7th windows "7" advantage mac stays and study to be a better OS

  • Lol windows meets the standards from Green Yellow and Red windows gets a C. Mac has failed but convert meets to standards D- for mac. Ubuntu is wonderful well boot time well converting and average converting A- for ubuntu. Ubuntu and Windows passed! Mac stays at school studying how to be a faster and light system.

  • @EricssonXL I mean average unzip

  • Why did you use terminal to unzip the file on mac? You just double-click on the file in OSX to unzip.

  • @KixuFox because terminal is faster than mac's usual unzipper

  • @EricssonXL Really? Interesting.

Do you know what version of OSX he's using? He says .6.8, but the Apple symbol is different.

I'm also questioning his boot time. He says he's got a 3.2 GHZ quad-core overclocked. I don't know much about computer innards, but I assume this is the bit that most affects boot time, correct me if I'm wrong.

My iMac with a 2.7GHZ duel-core takes 31 seconds to boot, only 4 more, and I'm CERTAIN that it wouldn't be able to boot Win7 in anywhere NEAR 20 seconds.

  • @KixuFox It's processors and hard drive type, Ram etc. which determines boot up. A large benefactor is how large the OS is on the system, Ubuntu is a very small in bytes compared to Win7 and MacOS.

  • @ian0renos

Do you have any idea why win7 booted so freakishly quickly for him, though? Whenever I boot the computers at school running win7, they take several minutes to start.

  • @KixuFox

  • @konsome77

The computers at my school actually have pretty heavy duty hardware for rendering CG with Maya and Mental Ray. I just assumed win7 always booted slow. My dad is an engineer, I asked him and even he said the computers at his workplace running win7 take 90 seconds or so to start.

  • Good video! ;) Can you tell me how you install Mac OS on PC? Or just a link to do this? Thanks! :D

  • linux win !!!!

  • where you tutorial to install mac on pc?

  • thumps up for ubuntu, the best OS ever!!!, (fastest, lightest and the most beautiful shining style)

  • Fuck all of you MAC and Windows bitches. LINUX IS THE FUTURE! Not to mention Linux distros are FREE so neither Microsoft or Apple (who overcharges the shit out of people in my opinion) can compete with that

  • hello where is windows xp ???????????

  • Dude, get a real mac, much, much faster!

  • @iOSXthings macs ARE NEVER FASTER the only time you get speed on them is when they use an SSD which all OSes get a MAJOR speed boost from using them

  • @iOSXthings

    mac = pc (personal computer)

    window = pc

    linux = pc

so a mac is not a computer? what is it then?

  • Wow, your pc booted OSX up REALLY slow!

  • that wasnt fair because the main operating system is pc so pc has more ram then mac on the computer=Mac longer booting time

  • How? is that some people are offending each other due the operating system they use? HA HA HA HA ...omg... the world is going more and more crazy, day after day...

  • @FreeForAllGamerz Mac OS X is a BSD system.

  • I respect Mac and PC i use both they both serve their purpose, but to hate on something that is not a brand name and not get paid for advertising for the brand you swear by is somewhat ignorant....why wear a logo in public if not getting paid for the free advertising. Do they pay your ignorant asses (Apple people) to advertise for their monopoly?

  • Windows fucking sucks, Mac is better, smarter, and more intelligent people work for them. So Windows fans, do yourself a favor and buy one..

  • Also, your running mac on a shitty windows computer...

  • @TalkMac101 for the record hardware wise, is my computer is better then any mac!!! :D LOL

  • @TalkMac101 You obviously know jack shit about computers. The computer is not Windows. Windows is an operating system. At any rate, I am never paying for an overpriced piece of shit computer + OS combination that is a Mac computer. Some of us like having control over our computers. All general purpose computers should offer both freedom and control, something Macs definitely do not.

  • @leiatskynet You obviously don't know shit. Keep using shitty windows. With you and ur shitty blue screens. No one but your dumbass would pay for a shitty computer with Windows on it but you. Come talk to me when you have some knowledge mkay. Not any computer with windows can even make a swiping option with the pad haha.

  • @TalkMac101 Haha, very funny joke. I run the Fedora OS. Now fuck off.

  • @TalkMac101 not to mention apple allows for u to update ur os from their website for 29.99 as windows does not. u have to pay for a full os full retail price 120-220$ so have fun with shitty windows all

  • @Drastic1586 Or use free and open source software and not deal with any of that bullshit at all. But have fun with shitty Crapple software.

  • @Drastic1586 Because apple's intelligence isn't free. When you have updates that let you drag windows left and right and there both equal! Of course, cause Window's knowledge isn't as far as Mac's yet. So fuck yall im out.

  • @TalkMac101 Haha, you're on a roll of funny jokes. Crapple "intelligence". Anyway, that's free as in freedom, not beer. As in, I can use my OS exactly how I want, and no corporation can tell me what I can and can't do with it. Anything less is tyrannical bullshit.

  • @leiatskynet Do what the fuck you want with your Windows. Hit me up when you get your viruses and your blue screen bullshit. Stop your freedom shit. No one cares.... You can do whatever you want with your mac if your smart. Which isn't you if you think Windows OS is perfect lol. I'm not saying Windows is bad, im simply saying Mac is "Better". So when you get your viruses and other crap Windows OS, I'll be drinking a beer and say, "Oh hahah, theres that kid".

  • @TalkMac101 Dude, fuck off. I don't use Windows, you idiot. I use Fedora. It's a GNU/Linux distro. Mac sucks, Windows sucks, every OS not free and open source sucks. BTW, I can't get viruses or BSODs. We have even fewer viruses than Macs.

  • @leiatskynet Coolstorybro, ask me if i care. Mac beats every OS. I'm out of this shit. Your computer sucks. You fail at life. Get a mac computer and show the boot up just for me. Then we can talk.

  • @TalkMac101 And with that, you've just proven you're an idiot. Not only an idiot, but an idiot who uses ridiculously overpriced hardware and software. Congratulations. Now fuck off and leave computer talk to people who actually know some shit, instead of idiots who don't understand the difference between an operating system and a computer.

  • @leiatskynet Overpriced and better quality. Fedora, please don't make me laugh right now. Yeah you're right, leave it to the people who know shit, so keep your fucking mouth closed. Simply cause you don't know how to use a mac and know nothing about it, just like i dont know the shit that Fedora does.

  • @TalkMac101 Better quality? Haha, don't make me laugh. First of all, the OS itself is shit. And for a user like me, I'm not going to pay for an OS I'm not going to use, so that's a good extra $100 tacked on for nothing. Get a barebones PC without an OS, or one with a GNU/Linux distro preinstalled, or best of all, a self-built one, that's better quality. Get to use whatever parts you want. And yeah, I've used Mac before. Sucks balls. Can't even get a Goddamn right click.

  • @TalkMac101 Oh, and you can't "do whatever you want with your mac if your [sic] smart." Ever heard of a fucking EULA? Or copyright law? Yeah, that's the bullshit you get saddled with when you use a closed OS like Mac. You can't make changes to the source, nor can anyone else, and most importantly, no one gets to know the code. No, you can't do whatever you want. There's no freedom with Mac OS.

  • @leiatskynet Stop talking about your open source bullshit. Cause people don't do stupid shit like you. For the sake of this conversation, ill install Fedora right now and see how good that "OS" is.

  • @TalkMac101 Have fun. But if you have any complaints, don't let them be stupid ones about not having everything handed to you on a silver, the-user-is-stupid-so-we-must-be-stupidly-user-friendly platter.

  • @leiatskynet lol you owned him

  • @TalkMac101 @leiatskynet ive been observing this little troll going on and all i have to say is TalkMac your a mac fag your opinion about computers are immediately invalid since you obvious lack the intelligence to use one and leiatskynet you're kinda bad at trolling lol

  • @havocnuke9000 I'm not trolling. I genuinely think the best long-term solution to computer problems is to switch to using all free and open source software, not only because it's more useful practically, but also because closed software vendors can't stick random spyware into the software we buy without our knowledge.

  • @leiatskynet i agree and disagree at the same time i rather like linux but i also like (not as much) windows7 (i hate the rest of them) plus im a gamer and well linux doesnt work to well and it was more to piss off that mac fag lol

  • @havocnuke9000 I guess so. Wine doesn't work for you? Also, hopefully when ReactOS (a Windows NT-like free and open source operating system) eventually gets out of alpha that will lead to the end of closed-source operating systems.

  • @leiatskynet well there are advantages to closed source BTW but wine programs are lagy as fuck and reactOS hun never heard of it but honestly i want LINUX based games not just port windows or emulate windows. im hoping valve will finish up there linux client which has been delayed because of "insecurity" with linux. but once that gets out it will spell the long death of all NTFS based systems :)

  • @havocnuke9000 Not very many, and especially not for consumer software, and they're mostly trumped by their disadvantages. But yeah, hopefully we get more Linux games. And the reason you've never heard of ReactOS is because it's still in alpha, meaning it's still in early development. But if they ever get it done, that will be the end of Windows.

  • @leiatskynet well my problem with it is its going to be based on windows XP which is still running windows3 under the hood so yea...... plus windows xp support is already being discontinued i want is to have say a linux plug in or a side by side os that would swap from a windows kernel to a linux kernel or some thing like that instead of wine with game > linux for game > a game which slows it download i want it to go game > a game

  • @havocnuke9000 Yeah, that'd be great if they can do that. Or a Linux operating system that can natively run Windows programs.

  • @leiatskynet Bias

  • @iOSXthings Uhhuh. Like a person called iOSXthings is free from it. But seriously, OSX is an objectively bad operating system compared to most if not all GNU/Linux distros. Windows, at least, has the games going for it. I mean, sure, if you want an OS hacked together from a combination of some old Unix system and FreeBSD, by all means, but that's something you could have gotten for free, and without some stupid EULA.

  • @leiatskynet

    Are you Richard Stallman?

  • @Uzerc No, but I wish I had his beard. :D

  • @leiatskynet

first you say you dont have viruses then you say you have fewer viruses than mac ?

  • @Mastermind12358 I said I don't get viruses, not that GNU/Linux systems don't have any. Viruses (even proper viruses, that is excluding trojans and macro viruses) exist for every system, but they have to be able to spread easily to be effective, hence why Windows viruses are so common; Windows has a large market share. However, there are other things that make a system vulnerable to viruses. In Windows, the first user is automatically logged in as an administrator.

  • @leiatskynet This is pretty bad for security. Meanwhile, in GNU/Linux and yes, Mac, the user is not logged in as admin by default. In GNU/Linux, you have to su to root to do things as administrator, and processes requiring admin privileges will ask for your password. I think Windows Vista and 7 started prompting for admin access for tasks requiring it (IIRC), but I think Apple started another ad campaign even though this was something Microsoft should have done ages ago.

  • @leiatskynet But anyway, another thing about virus and malware vulnerability has to do with how open the system is. Since viruses and malware rely on flaws in the system itself, having the source code available can make it obvious what flaws exist, so that the flaws can be patched by not only developers working for the project, but by other users and developers in the community. So, having proprietary software preventing people from fixing their problems with the software encouragges viruses.

  • @leiatskynet And GNU/Linux doesn't just rely on "security through obscurity" as some people think. Small market shares might help some systems, but there's lots of money to be made exploiting security holes in GNU/Linux. For example, GNU/Linux servers have around 60% of the market, and there's definitely an incentive to infect some of those with viruses. So the reason why it's more secure is because it's just naturally more secure.

  • @leiatskynet

dont be a noob then and use restricted acount -.-

  • @Mastermind12358 Except again, GNU/Linux has the other security advantage of being free and open source. Besides, I use it for other reasons than just security.

  • @leiatskynet yes. agreed. LINUX FIGHT THE FUCKIN WAR. WINDOWS FANGAYS CAN SUCK DICKS AND SO CAN MAC FANGAYS! and btw try linux mint :P its great. i switched from ubuntu to fedora to mint. :3

  • @Xaahu I might try it on a virtual machine, but does it have any advantages over Fedora? I know Mint was designed for ease of use, but I don't really need that.

  • @leiatskynet Dude you know you just insulted your own OS fedora is open source and theres no bsods on linux theres kernel panic

  • @EricssonXL Fedora, and most GNU/Linux distros are free and open source, except for a few proprietary drivers in the Linux kernel. And I've had BSoDs on Windows, but I haven't had any kernel panics. Besides, if anything happens (which it never has), I can recover files through a live USB, and reinstalling the operating system doesn't cost anything.

  • @leiatskynet Your an idiot!

  • @iOSXthings *You're* one to talk.

  • @leiatskynet No

  • @iOSXthings Oh, such wit which I have grown to be accustomed to, coming from Crapple software users.

  • @leiatskynet Last time I've seen a windows crash ending with an error report (commonly known as BSOD) was in sp1 win xp.. But yeah, if windows would not such a great software lineup, I would go with a linux distro for sure.

  • @mozdonny The great Windows software lineup... the greatest of which were ME and Vista, of course.

  • @leiatskynet we haven't viruses at all ;)

  • @Gicopiro Bullshit.

  • @leiatskynet "'every OS not free and open source sucks."

You're fucking kidding me right? Logically it's the opposite. Anyway, so you have few compatable viruses than Macs. That shouldn't even matter. You should be smart enough to have some sort of antivirus and not download/visit shady things. P.S. Your support sucks.

  • @XHyperxNovaX Nope. Free and open source software more often than not is better, faster, and securer than proprietary software. Every supercomputer any good at all is either running some version of GNU/Linux or BSD. The ten fastest are all running GNU/Linux. The tenth fastest is running Fedora 9. To put that in perspective, Fedora 16 came out in December, and the release cycle is once every six months. So the thing is running a several-year-old operating system. (Cont.)

  • @leiatskynet Now, that's pretty much like if the tenth-fastest supercomputer were now running Windows Vista, and actually working, but not really, since there's been seven whole releases since Fedora 9.

Furthermore, the vast majority of Internet servers use Apache web servers (~66.3%), which is free and open source. And then, Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft himself, admits 60% of all web servers (usually run by people who actually know some shit about computers) run GNU/Linux. (Cont.)

  • @leiatskynet So if proprietary software is so much more superior, you really have to wonder why so many people who are actually knowledgeable about computers use free and open source software instead.

And then we have Mac OS X, which takes a good part of its code from BSD, again, free and open source software.

Of course, considering viruses can infect computers when, for example, a secure site is compromised, I would say good security is still important. (Cont.)

  • @leiatskynet Or consider someone who gets a virus which sends itself to all his/her co-workers through the computer's address book, and they all end up thinking it's work-related stuff and get infected. Pretty handy to have an operating system that doesn't automatically execute an attachment when you open it, you know, and actually ask for root permissions before doing anything serious.

Besides, security is more than just viruses. (Cont.)

  • @leiatskynet Have to protect against crackers as well, and GNU/Linux is more secure in that aspect, and any insecurities will be quickly fixed as a result of its free and open source nature.

Finally, GNU/Linux systems have plenty of support. First of all, most of the volunteer support is much better than being directed to some call centre in India or something. Any questions I've ever had get answered in a few minutes over IRC. Second, RedHat, Novell, Canonical. Look them up.

  • @XHyperxNovaX P.S. You're full of shit.

  • @TalkMac101 Besides, why the Hell do you keep talking about Windows? I don't use Windows. I use Fedora.

  • @FreeForAllGamerz There's software for unzipping in Mac OS X. Don't think he's found one of them though. :)

    See you next times!

  • I think its not fair. Mac OSX will run better on a Mac. And Windows hasnt finished booting at the loginscreen!

  • I knew you was going to say that?

  • pc specs

  • Convert a viedeo

  • Go to 5:54 and see the summary. Stop wasting time with his freaking stop watch.

  • How did you install Mac OS on your PC? Please give me a link

  • good video, now i know the fastest operating system, do you know i have a dream to go abroad and join with ubuntu college and then to develop a better ubuntu and all for free, i must study hard to make this happen, i will invite my friend Gabrielle, he is the most smartest student in the programming class, oh boy, i love this idea.

  • kkkk... MEU MACBUNTU FAZ BOOT BEEEM MAIS RAPIDO DO QUE O MAC ORIGINAL

  • What a load of shite, osx86 really!

  • "Viedeo" xDDDDDDD

  • I love ubuntu but i cant install cuz my hard drive only has enough for windows......

  • @TheFour4Crafters to install an os u have to partition the hard drive or install the new os on a separate drive u cant install two os on one system on one hard disk drive it needs to be separate. and windows 7 takes up about a gb u should have more than that on any respectable pc

  • How did you get three operating systems on the same computer? Which computer do you have?

  • Linux FTW !

  • @Wiew09 WTF is a great word for an ignorant.

Educate yourself, be open mind, use open source, be Linux

  • Here is what I think of all the 3 Operating systems, Windows is good for gaming, Mac is good for every day apps, and Linus is good for serving shit. This is why I use all 3 operating systems :)

  • I have not been so used to using unity desktop :(

  • ubuntu sucks since the 11.04 version

De todas maneras UBUNTU is the best!

  • whatever you say zoolander

  • How did you get mac os x on your computer ? Please respond.

  • @alexandarTV iatkos osx86!

  • copying my complete medialibrary in windows ----> 32 nhours

copying my complete medialibrary in fedora ----> 43 minutes.. :P

FUCK WINDOWS AND MAC.. Linux is my master!

  • lol look at all the mac fanboys rage.

  • I love to upload viedeos to YouTube lol

  • Bad scientific test

  • I was using Windows like so many people out there but much for gaming and now i have my gaming console there is no reason not using Ubuntu

  • time required depends on hardware.

  • get a real mac you idiot

  • mac for dummies

    winblows for noobs

    linux sky is the limit

  • Mac - Buy hardware with twice the recommended price, and get a shitty OS.

  • @LKodiak Weird how apple makes a profit about that uh?

  • Very nice video :)

  • Exept the booting time test the other tests are incompetent!<=the programms used were different! They were getting the same results but in a different way, with a different algorithms so the performances may have varied because of that and not because of the different oses!

To the eyes of some fanboys these tests may have some success but to the people with some knowledge in computer science these kind fo tests are realy just STUPID !

Sorry for being such a nerd :) Good luck ! :))

  • Why is everyone so obsessed with bootup time? I think people should worry about how fast the applications do their work

  • @Sparx936 Boot up time significantly affects user experience. I love Ubuntu for its lightning fast start up, as well as shutdown! So next time you boot up your laptop for presenting to people, windows & mac will embarrass you, while Ubuntu will save you.

  • @VinayakGargTV I likED ubuntu because it opened me up to a liux environment, I don't really use it anymore I like fedora and gentoo better

  • Mac? why dont u just go shoot urself @tomrzon

  • How to Dual boot 0:16 ?

  • ChromeOS? 3 seconds...

  • why he is talking like HAL.

  • What about Fedora?

  • Comment removed

  • linux FTW yoo haters will hate but linux is the best OS in my books people who say ( oh linux is crap /fail / shit / whatever ) it's all because thy can't use linux thats why

  • the unzip is unfair, you've used winrar which is superior to what ubuntu and mac has, also it's not mac osx, it's Mac OS X(as in 10)

  • I feel as if the video converting trial should have been redone on Windows 7 because handbrake is a slow converter, try WinFF, it converts very fast, and best of all, you won't have to mess around with different converters on different OS's because WinFF can run on Windows, Ubuntu, and Mac.

  • how often do you reboot? I do less than once a month, so I find your comparison on this point irrelevant. Windows is oversimplified and for basic users that will never seek a real efficacy.

Linux is on the other edge: steep learning curve, power that will never be profitable to the mean user. Mac OS offers the flexibility following the user's needs and competences. I can write a letter with Word for Mac or iPages or VIM/LaTeX. If I need, if I want to or if I have the competence to do that.
