I've been asking myself this question for a while. Can someone please explain to me why piaffe is so hard for the horse? I mean why it is so tiring for its muscles? Thank you.
@SametHorses Piaffe and half-steps are really not that tiring for a horse. They do have to have the ability to collect and sit, and bend their hind leg joints equally while staying round through the topline, but the actual initial process of teaching them is more mental work than physical.
