I couldn't remember if I subscribed or not but just did! What has been the best expansion/chrony .45 ACP round tested so far? I have some DoubleTap 185gr Noslers 1225FPS/616LBS out of a 5" barrel I will send you if you want to test. Let me know
@intercooler2 The Grizzly round is probably the best expansion. Also check Federal HST, and Winchester Ranger-T. We chronographed the Grizzly this weekend. I will be posting the results once I get everything edited.
A guy from a local gun shop said he had accidentally fired into a puddle on the ground at a range with his .45 and it made a 12 foot high puddle he had photos of it too. Amazing.
Another great video! Keep em comin. I like that you leave people to there own opinion. You show us the test and results then let the viewers decide for themselves. Thanx
this guys test proves hydra shocks are as good, but there are equal and better rounds. good post. i was pulling my hair out trying to find these at a gun store, but after seeing my silver tips perform just about the same, i stick to those. federal just has a thing where the jacket stays on the lead 9 out of 10 times.

Great video! Thanks.

I note that you only use one jug; why is this? The rounds clearly are exiting the jugs and presumably deforming after hitting the backstop.
Are you only displaying the rounds that were fired into the drum?
sudaev 1 year ago
@sudaev The rounds that are being displayed at the end are the ones collected from the barrel testing.

I like the fragmentation but also like the talons on the Winchester Ranger T rounds. Thank you for posting this video!

Is the reduced recoil really that noticeable? Compared to 230gr that is.
ih8chrome 2 years ago
Its a brisker snap compared to 230 grain which is more of a hard (but slower) push.
