  • I need some of that fx clear metallic paint but I have only seen it for £55 does anyone know any alternatives. if not white metallic would do

  • @KIZEGRAFF Go use paint only, than come back and talk about it. Primer is always the way to go

  • tweaker

  • NEVER MIND

  • are those computer things that your painting over???

  • Damn i had it all wrong, i was using dry emery cloth on the spray paint instead of the clear coat, would have never ever thought of wet sanding and buffing the clear coat. I noticed you barely put down a coat of primer, how long did it take you to do that plastic piece. I usually use enamel paint, then a clear lacquer and do it over 2 or 3 days and my stuff never turns out as good as yours

  • Yea but what about your handstyles?

  • Just a question; the way I've always spraypainted is, I will put on a light coat, let it dry to touch about 5 minutes, then put on another light coat, let it dry to touch about 5 minutes, then another, I usually do this with 4 or 5 coats. BUT I did this the otehr day and noticed later on my spray bottle is says let coats dry an hour. Do you think it will still be ok?

  • i was bored today so i spray painted a cat im serious

  • @MrFlorida123 You better not have dude.....

  • @pricture i did it ended up good

  • @MrFlorida123 The cat is probably poisoned now, thanks to you.

  • @pricture yup

  • @MrFlorida123 LOL. That conversation was hilarious.

  • @VhUgGz indeeed

  • i am really a girl right now :P i'm sprucing up my filing cabinet to make it all cute for my office~ and -I- learned so much!! thank you!!

  • hey im just wondering if when i paint my xbox360 controler will i need to wet sand it and buffer it or can i skip this?

  • great vid man, quick question though! im painting a bike n i was wondering, does matter if i wet sand gentley BEFORE i start the clear coat process? ive used spray paint quite a bit but im not sure about that! if u could let me know , it would really help, n what rubbing compound would u recomend!

  • I'm re-painting a project bike....is can paint a good idea?

  • Great Video.

    Thumbs Up

  • 3:52 I like the word funky.

  • Would i do the same thing if im painting on a rubber surface? Im painting a paintball mask, so would i still need to prep and prime before, and sand and buff my clear coat?

  • Man i wish I watched this before I started my project. My paint was doing all kinds of funky things

  • Great film! Tnx:)

  • LOL, Why buy an Elite now?

  • Nice vid Brother thanks for posting.

  • remember kids 'don't let your paint do anything funky!'

  • Tony D you r the shit brother. I started airbrushing 7 mos ago after tattooing for 15 yrs. I have watched everyone of your videos and I use the auto air paint. I learned how to do flames and xbox housings just by learning from your amazing videos. I have made money on custom airbrushed guitars and helmets, mac tool boxes ect. I belive that if anyone has the money to buy the right equipment, and watches your videos, they can make amazing things pop.

Thanx for taking the time brother.

  • can i ask what's the drying time in between coats?...

  • oh my gosh that is one sweet silver xbox.

  • so when do I get laid?

  • Sexy.

  • I was like "this guy is gonna give me seven minutes of pure BS", but it was some really good stuff. Thanks man.

  • that is amazing

  • nice job man thanks for this tips

  • haha i was like "i v'e seen him before" then i realized he looks just like alex riley from wwe lol

  • dude wtf was that at the end

  • @thePsychokid12 bet the pros COULDNT DO THAT!!

i had to listen to it like 5 times to be able to understand it

  • you look like a tosser

  • I wanted to hate the carbon fiber, but it was bad ass.

  • @airbrushtricks my airbruSh can't really achieve what I need it to on my design layer. What airbrush do you use? Looking to spend anywhere from $100 to $400 on a new brush.

  • @numberx3x look at a paasche talon i have one they are beautiful to use

  • i like to also use 1000 grit sand paper too

  • I really like the carbon fibre effect and would like to try it, but is it just me or does it look at bit streaky, is it very difficult to do it without the streaks?

  • steady strokes

  • honestly man Ive gotta say your videos have to be the best and most detailed that actually show you how to get the job done. keep up the good work my man

  • duuude, u sounddd sooo stoked mannnn! california dudeee!

  • hahhahahaha!! lol u look funny ^_^

  • hahaha u look funny ^_^

  • what is it called, the spray thah gives you a finish glossy, can you name it, your worck is awsome

  • warm the can by putting it in the microwave.....

  • i like the word funky

  • dude holy shit. that seems really complicated. i just used plain red spray paint with no prep or primer or lacker and it looks good and has lasted over 4 years and hasn't even chiped or flaked or anything.

  • @wakjob94 but i geuss on the other hand im not doing a sweet or complicated design and it wasnt on an xbox.

  • They say where there is a will there is a way. Im impressed with your videos, especially your airbrush work. Challenge / Question - can you do a video on "strickly" Can Spray Painting Flames on computer cases or any metal surface and it actually look good? If so, a video would be awesome and appreciated.

  • ninja.

  • nice xbox lol

  • Cool vid -- what software did u use to make the tutorial? Especially the opening graphics, etc.?

  • Its fucken orgasmic man

  • the clear coat is what your sanding to a smooth finish, without it i would think that it would just take the paint off

  • so how critical is the clear coat? I am painting a computer and am curious if i can get away without a clear coat.

  • @dadee433 i know this is a late reply but a clear coat makes the job look pro by far because you make layers with paint and it is verry easy to spot with the eye, the clear coat is a filler for the layers and you can get a flat surface without destroying the paint job / image.

  • His voice is like an 80's announcer.

  • @Abnormalproductions2 or a work out instructor =p

  • nice effect with the grid pattern

  • nice tips, it reminds me of how the old school guys use women's fishnet stockings to make reptile scales.

  • DON'T TOCTURE THE XBOX 360¡¡ lol

  • who works that much just to paint a xbox?

  • Hey wen you sand with the 1500 paper, are you still doing it with water?

  • @julianrodolfo He is, yes.

  • @julianrodolfo yes he is, because it would not sand as well without water.

  • very nice paint job seem like your good do you know how to do flip flop paint

  • very nice

  • The last part u can still see sratch marks

  • awesome man

  • lol heat it in water? how bout ditch the fan tips...

know that ur using the WORST option

    make it look so hard

  • what masking tape do u use?

  • @AlpPalo it's Ironlak not Ironlack

  • sick shit dude, when i get my 360 back from microsoft im doing that shit

  • you dont have to do all that idiot

  • @AlpPalo it's Ironlak

  • wow. thats actually pretty nice.

  • This is the best vid ive ever seen involving a simple tutorial with a can of spray paint for a noob like me, easy to comprehend, easy to follow, you sir arent trying to sell a gimmik or any of that b.s i find all the time on here sweet 5 stars buddy, i mean the hardest thing for me was understanding when u said shelf liner, im from BOSTON, ya'll have the accent lol jk but super super

  • PS3 ALL THE WAY!!

  • the xbox is so sucky you have to paint it ;) PS3FTW

  • Well, the 360 can actually look good if you paint it. The PS3 doesn't.

  • @GamingTard WHY ARE YOU WATCHING THSI THEN THATS WHY XBOX IS COOL DOTN GET ME WRONG PS3 IS GOOD BCUZ ITS FREE BUT WE CAN MOD OUR SYSYTEM AND PAINT YOU CANT DO THAT TO PS3

  • @IPWNxYOURxKILLZ you can paint a PS3 shell but its just alot harder to do

  • would this video help me out if i were painting a bike frame?

  • Yep. He tells you the basics, he shows you the basics. Just adapt them to the bike frame.

  • not bad at all

  • i thought i knew what i was doing, and i'm glad i watched his vid. I learned a few things. Thanks for the upload. Educational.

  • great video but ummm why didn't you use Montana paint? is sanding really important? because im painting a helmet

  • yes

  • YES SANDING IS VERY CRUCIAL, When you sand/scuff the surface you give something for the paint to hold on to, I hope this wasn't to late to help, and FYI Dupli-Color is like the Corvette where as Montana is like the Cavalier of paints.

  • lol too late, but it the helmet came out nice, the silver paint is sticky though, any idea of what to use as a over coat?

  • duplicolor is the best for everything hahaha and yes sanding is very importantey lol

  • @sprintcarguru13t Montana is the best for Graffiti

  • @mahmoud1995

    Amen to that!

  • @sprintcarguru13t duplicolor sucks do u know what ur talking about? u can buy a can of rusto for half the price and its 50x better lol

  • great vid thanks!

    P.S. I'm sure they couldn't do THAT!

  • Great job!

  • this guy is really good

  • this is too big to buff by hand

  • Hey i have a guitar that i painted and used that back and forth motion it cut small lines in the clear. i always use circles to do it beacuse the back and forth will cut lines. the circles mix the lines so that they are not noticeable. but i would like to say for the many years ive been doing this kinda thiing you are verry good

  • It doesnt take years to learn how to spray spraypaint. Circles make drips if ur not careful.

  • also old the can far away... closer you hold to more paint goes on 1 area causing dripping

  • Thanks bro,Its a big help for me...

  • shit man that looks sick

  • Good and useful stuff , Respect !

  • Haha "Become a rattlecan ninja" x')

  • good stuff bro......

  • tony d is a better artist than you will probably ever be

  • and what do you know jr?

  • I'll definitely keep some of those steps in mind next time I take up a can of spray-paint. Thanks for sharing the wisdom.

  • its probably a dumb question but why is it that you wet sand the clear coat off then buff it? and would you have to do the same like for a bigger scale project such as detailing a car?....will take any help!

  • thats brilliant thanks man love the videos im sure to use your tips wen im starting just got my airbrush cant wait to start :)

  • nice vid

  • tha carbon fiber is soooo sick. thanks man preciate it

  • Thanks for the info, great job

  • :o fuking skillz on the carbon fiber idea, yoooiink

  • amazing how you do them

  • what about spray painting over or redoing a project? would you sand all over again?

  • Great job man!

  • Awesome work!! The wet sanding info was very helpful because I was scared to wet sand as hard as you were and now my work is looking a little better. Thanks

  • dude the dupli color metal specks is bad ass i paint my bike frames with that its realy good some times u dont have to even primer before sprayin the bad is it cost 10 to 12 bucks

  • spacepainter's the best

f'ers gave me a negative thumb thing

  • Wow !

    that was helpful !

  • I work on cars, going in circles will mess it up and cause lips.

also putting soap when wet sanding will probably have the effect of the sand paper not cutting.

  • awesome video! What's the name of the song? =O

  • CHECK OUT SPACE PAINTER
