i searched the web over 4 damn ever trying 2 find a company producing modern day gull wing and comfort cab ge locomotives with sound not dash 8s i mean big ones an finaly found these i love it really nice im jus soooo excited thank u personally 4 showing the overall reamarkable accuracy i work around the real thing daily and this things awesome right even with overland brass models thank u
That bell is slower than the Athearn SD70M-2 by the sounds of it, and it sounds more faithful to the prototype. The horns still suck, and remain the biggest letdown of Tsunami decoders, in my opinion, LOL. Nice vid.
awesome video! thanks for the review! I've got 4 of these on order. ATSF, 2 x BNSF, 1 x GE Demo. though, the air con vents are below the cab windshields on the sides. :-)
Thanks for another great review James. I always look forward to your videos and you hit the nail on the head in that Intermountain has released a great product. They are really hard to find with only 1 week after being released and wish I would have pre-ordered more. There is also another run of AC's to be released in the next few months in case some of you missed out. Get them while you can.
@jiggy588 oh thts cool...i am thinking about buying the conrail imagen unit along with a bi-cenntenial one...we'll see though i might get one then the other later..got to get my custom units finished/have my layout upgraded to DCC
@EMDSD14R oh okay i be doing my shopping soon but i will let you know i sure has meet you so we can go on a shopping spree,LOLoh so you thinking about getting those engines, cool, hey man i cant wait for you too gat that DCC thing going,i see you change your picture i like it,if i am correct is that E44's they use to be Penn Central then PENNSY then CONRAIL, i have a train book it showed them in enola not too far from were i am at.back in 1976. i have a few train books,LOL
@jiggy588 yeah indeed man..yeah i'll be getting my car back at the sametime as my income tax..oh yess indeed i'll be rolling..lol..indeed i planed on getting some intermoutain stuff..i just saw there amtak ex ATSF passenger cars..i got to have them also..lol..yeah i am going with the MRC protegy advance system..i think my bud in this vid uses it..indeed i had the same profile pic for 2 years time to change plus somebody sent me an email using my u tube name/account so i had to fix them also
@jiggy588 but all is cool man nobody stole my account..indeed i wanted to have a conrail E44A as my background...lol..well u got the order mixed up a bit but its cool...PRR, PC then CR...oh thts cool i have books on them also
@EMDSD14R oh okay yeah i see yeah you right i did got it a little mixed i was typing to fast some time that happen LOL you be typing and then you do not double check LOL how can i have that mixed up LOL but i know forgive me LOL oh okay you got books on them also that's cool also.oh right.but yeah man i was surprised when i saw you had a new back ground,i am gonna change mines tonight.so check it out LOL
@MMODoubter: GE HP ratings are easy to figure out: the HP rating is in the model designation. ES44DC- the 44 stands for the 4400 HP. "C40-8W", the 40 is 4000 HP. U36C- the 36 is 3600HP. As for EMD & ALCO, You'll have to find some sort of guide to figure them out. A diesel spotters guide is a good beginning source. I don't of an online source that'll help out w/ that.
Awesome!! I received NS 7515 last week. Ill probably do a review on it too. The only thing i dont like about it is the ditchlights dont alternate. But other than that, AMAZING MODEL!!!
Nice review. I look forward to getting my NS &CSX versions early next week. Ill probably be rewiring the ditch lights on the NS with a function only decoder or just have the back ones on constant with the rear headlight.
Thanks for the review! Mine was supposed to be into my local hobby shop a couple of weeks ago. I preordered back in August. I'm glad to see that the lighting is okay, but I will be getting a Digitrax decoder with completely custom sounds and some decals (Autostart and warnings) applied. Looking forward to mine!
so did they compromise the light up numberboards for the rear ditchlights? and also did they just use better l.e.d's or did they fix the double resistor problem?
should i get the intermountain fa7 or should i get a bli ge ac6000 qsi?

Hi James,
Is this a new model that has been recently released. If so , is the sound improved from the
previous AC model? I had heard the sound was quite enemic, even though it was tsunami sound.

@rottiuree sound is definitely improved.

Nice video. Do you think Athearn is announcing a GEVO tomorrow?
AllenRockwell 1 month ago
@AllenRockwell No I think they're announcing the GP38-2 in Genesis. That's my guess based on the picture they released of locomotives under a cloth.

@jlwii2000 I think the photo is meant to throw us off. I think the usage of the word "Evolution" is the tip off. ... or so I hope.

@jlwii2000 it could be their release of the new DDA40X that they showed at some past train shows
