  • someone buy me a tilt shift lens plz !!1

  • This isreal life...

  • first show looks amazing ;-)

  • Cool video. Reminds of this Sims games. Great work.

  • Well done! But what the hell why do you choose that stupid muzak?

  • wow.... amazing clips in there! luv it!

  • Outstanding editing and presentation but massively disappointing in the one aspect that matters most.

The "tilt shift" effect was almost entirely ineffective from start to finish!

You could do worse than check out Keith Loutit's "Bathtub" series to learn how to do it properly.

Then I think your videos would be outstanding!

  • gotta love tilt shift!

  • @SaucyBoii LOL it may be over a year ago, but the comment is still here as proof to how stupid you were.

  • troll detected!

  • awesome vid :)

  • Cool focus/angle combos! Stop the abuse, these are forums for the curious, let us all try to remain positive in what we say, with a proper focus in mind.

  • CAN EVERYONE STOP SENDING ME ABUSE COMMENTS AND SHIT !!! IT WAS OVER A FUCKING YEAR AGO!!!! ASSHOLES!!

  • @SaucyBoii your so fucking stupid, and i didnt even read what you wrote LOL

  • @SaucyBoii Sauce no disrepect to u,however if u dislike people's negative comments, then u MUST know what u are talking about before u open your mouth, which i'm sure u are doing know.btw feel free to send me any negative comment,i just luv them. peace.

  • @SaucyBoii DUDE YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU're talking about

  • @SaucyBoii yep, but its still funny xD

  • nothing more than "awesome"

  • The reason everything looks tiny is because of altered depth of field. This is the range between which objects can stay in focus.

It is determined by the size of the camera aperture - the larger the aperture, the less depth of field you get - so objects too close or too far are out of focus.

This is why photos of very small objects have a blurry background - because the camera is big compared to the scene - so the aperture is big.

The pics above are faking this real effect. So they seem small.

  • ASTYFDHERSYWEFRSUDTYIKYERYHSERYRETYETW=(i am the godzilla i came to destroy your small city)

  • EVERYTHING LOOKS LIKE A TOY

  • @ 1:03 just blew me away!! What a sick camera

  • Circular Polarizer filters = way too complex for me to understand.

  • that camera is expensive..

  • how to you apply them to a sequence of photos, instead of one by one applying?

  • Amazing, just amazing. beautiful footage.

  • Beautiful Video in my favourites now :)

  • Timelapse + Tilt & Shift

  • I really would like to know what Saucyboii said now... man he is taking some flak!

  • whoever took their time 2 build this definately is either a virgin or hasnt gotten laid in YEARS

  • @ManhattanMist

ok first off no one built this dumbass, its camera effects and time lapse. And of course if somebody did create something this awesome then they haven't been laid in years? (makes total sense) .... what does sex have anything to do with this?

  • @TF2Gameplay thanks 4 taking time out of your day 2 rant at me, u should use caps next time :)

  • @ManhattanMist you are a tit.

  • ok this is realy a miniature city or isn't?

  • @goncasworld

    Its a real city. (Cities)

  • Can We buy it and play this city as a God? ;> btw. Awesome effect and camera... :D

  • i just want to crush everything with my hands ...lol...

  • Some camera's have this option, I wonder which one though.

  • i think the different between the sharp and the blur part should be much bigger (regarding the blurness) and the framerate is wrong, It is just speeded up, doesnt give the impression of the frame-by-frame movements like models.

  • Adult Swim had this a couple of years ago. Well several years ago.

  • this is amazing. i love how you slowly zoom out. awesome project.

  • Very good, I like the subtlety to the tilt shift. Almost seems organic did you use a real lens rather than the common choice to fake it?

  • japanese version of simcity :)

  • i wonder how the image is distorted to look like that... i know its done with tilt shift lens

  • this is cute

  • whether this is a miniature or real-life city, i find the obtainment of these viewpoints impossible. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN?!?!?!?!?

  • @Niggs3000 tilt-shift fake lense, the outter edges of the lense are further away from the camera "eye" if you will, making them appear blurry

  • Awesome.

The effect is called Tilt-Shift or Miniature faking its a process in which a photograph of a life-size location or object is made to look like a photograph of a miniature scale model. Blurring parts of the photo simulates the shallow depth of field normally encountered in close-up photography, making the scene seem much smaller than it actually is. Many faked-miniature photographs are taken from a high angle to simulate the effect of looking down on a miniature.

  • I dont understand this... Can someone explain this to me?

Are these model cities? Or are these real and videoed??

    Cause this looks so cool.....

  • how much was all ur camera equipment cuz i want it XD

  • Very, very coooooo!!

  • 0:56 - 1:27 is fantastic! Its amazing how creative the human mind has become.

  • awesome work!!!

  • Whoah... can someone explain how this effect was obtained?

  • @thePENANCE

It's called miniature faking. Very cool effect.

  • when use effect miniature..all movement must be fast?

  • This is what the world looks like when I smoke a joint. 420 dude.

  • the only shots that were semi successful were from 1:36 on up

but i'd say adjust your shift tilt lens to give a narrower dof. on the center of your frame,

try to boost your colors to give it a more plastic feel

and as someone said before, lose some of the motion blur :)

its a good video, it just doesn't look miniature.

  • my 2cents on this video, the trick to do this is to remove all motion blurs, as with the Sandpit video (search it!). motion blur removes the illusion of miniature movement. try capturing the images in faster shutter speed (to remove the blur) then make it into a movie. this won't do during night though. Also, establish a 'miniature feel' with an intro of a scene with minimal movements. then introduce the people, cars, etc.

  • awesome!

  • Excellent!

  • the models were very well crafted

but the lighting gave it away in just about every shot

  • @MajicPictures you my good sir... are an idiot

  • @sornodrog lol you're the idiot for not seeing my sarcasm

  • really nice video !!!!!

  • on 2:20 it really looks like a miniature xD

  • this is cool! what kind of camera can do this?

  • @B3808JAZZ `look at the bottom of the movie.. the 5DmarkII

  • @4000marco i wish i could have one..

  • how the hell did you moved the people cars and ship this realistic?

  • Lol its all real, he just shot from weird angles and edited it.

  • beautiful

  • at @2:09 in the viedo there is a white car that does a terrible parking job... fail lol

  • @connor1ronnoc where??

  • very very very very very very goooooood!!!!!

  • Godzilla-vision

  • is that nesecary? didn't you already say that with 2 a bombs?

  • @SaucyBoii you are incredible stupid young sir, it has to do with camera angle and lens type, do your research before making yourself look like a dumbass

  • @InstrumentManiac let him think its fake, thats more exciting than knowing that its just filmed with a tilt shift lense.

  • @InstrumentManiac Most of the time now this effect is created after the shot has been taken. You don't really need a specific camera, lens etc. You can use software to speed the video up and then blur certain parts of it. Technically, you could use a £30 digital camera and get a similar effects The higher the video resolution the better the effect, obviously.

  • @BadBadRobot

Still depends on the scene. I've seen far too many bad 'fake' tilt shifts because it's a huge job to mask out certain areas and blur everty detail properly in complex shots.

Real titl shift has real depth of field.

I don't want to assume what you do or don't know but anyone who undertsands what depth of field is will immediately appreciate many situations where it is actually cheaper (if you think of your time as money) to have the 'expensive' kit if you want to do this right.

  • @InstrumentManiac There will never be a day when all the people in this world become aware of what they observe.

Still entertaining though! to me anyway. xD

  • @InstrumentManiac Actually you are wrong - it is a special effect added later. It is shortened depth of field.

  • It's called tilt shift. Wikipedia is your friend.... maybe your only one.

  • bahahaha

  • @SaucyBoii

lol your IQ is the same as Justin Bieber

  • @SaucyBoii your an idiot have you ever heard of tilt shift fool.

  • @604Aron Its a kind of photography using a specific type of lens. He didn't make anything. This is all real.

  • This is the real world. He's using a technique called 'tilt shift' which make it look like it is a model-world.

  • this guy know how to use focus!

  • is this real? because it looks like it!

  • amazing dude!!! looks great in hdtv

  • how do you make this effect?

  • it's called 'tilt-shift' effect, blur top and bottom of frame, throws out the scale.

  • You can use a special lens on your camera to do this. But if you want to fake the effect, then you make the top and bottom parts of the frame blurred out.

  • i love your videos mockmoon! i love tilt-shift too!

  • sugoi !! ^^ great job ! and full exploring the potentials of the 5D MKII! ^^ NICE WORK !
