  • WTF Ur just saying how to swim.....this video has hardly any relevance to specific triathlon swimming techniques.

  • Why is she giving swimming advice standing in front of a volleyball sand pit with swimming gear in front of her? What does she expect to swim in the sand.. DUHH!!!

  • thenoblequran (Ctrl+Enter)

  • Good to begin.

  • she should swim by sucking my dick.. she looks like a whore

  • It's futile talking about swimming technique on a field.

  • God this woman and her forest gump accent are so bloody anoying not to mention boring. You don't have to be a triathlon expert to realise you probably know more about the swim discipline BEFORE you watch this video! Nothing learnt here, apart from I just wasted 2:43 of my life. Get another job you awful teacher.

  • What happened to four? LOL! We went from number 3 to number 5!~ LOL!

  • lol at this

  • is it just me or does every expert village video give crap advice. ......most of them are the village idiots

  • What the hell, i've always been taught not to roll too much - good about the high epbow and catch - i think i agree with yaroslav on this one

  • Im an ASA coach and a WSI instructor. One of the fundamental skills of the freestyle stroke is the body roll. As much as you roll your body up to pivot your head out of the water to take a breathe is how much you should be pivoting on the other side even when not taking a breathe. This not only allows the arms to come in at a much steeper angle but also allows you to have much more efficient flutter kicks. The breathing on both sides in a TRI is to promote the efficiency of body roll

  • she edits the comments. if your words arn't good dont post. and if you post balogna then expext critics to destroy your bullshit bitch

  • You DO NOT WANT A STRONG KICK in triathlon swmming. You NEED to save your legs for the bike and run. BAD BAD BAD advice.

  • @jc5066

    Thats what I thought exactely...

  • seems like those who cant do, teach. I wonder how long she;ll last

  • "You want to become fish-like", how does one become fish-like?

  • grow gills

  • she jumped from 3 to 5 lol

she said there were 5 points but she skipped #4 lol

  • Her remarks on rolling are just wrong. Yes, you should roll when stroking. But no, you don't want to roll as much as she does. If you do so, you will see that your pulling arm is way too much beneath you, where you want your arm to be at your side... This will produce a very restless and inefficient stroke

  • ur ggay why delete our comment 15 years experience florida triathlon

  • Excellent advice.

  • given her advice on the weight and exercise videos, I'm going to completely disregard anything she says here, as she's already bombed the shit out of her own credibility.

  • haha wwe champion randy orton is below!

  • This gal did a great job explaining the fundamentals and touched on the most important aspects of swimming efficiently. She did a great job.

  • Thank you very concise would you care to put a video up that would illustrate these key points? Thanks again

  • Check out this clip of Olympic swimming. Do a search on 'Athens 2004 Mens 400m Freestyle Final'.

Ian Thorpe shows excellent form and technique. Also see Michael Phelps swimming vids for some more good swimming. Watch and learn from the best.

  • Triathlon swimming is different than 400M and any other short distance Michael Phelps like swimming. It's about efficiency, and conserving energy for the other 2 sports after you are done with the swim. Remember those? biking and running.

  • Phelps and any world class swimmers stroke is efficient.. thats when you can concentrate on speed. The more efficient your stroke, the less energy you expend. Swimmng in waves, choppy and murkey waters should make you adjust your head position at times and breathing patterns. 400 meters is not considered short distance swimming. If you've trained for the biking and running legs and are conditioned(good stamina and endurance), then you shouldn't have a problem competing after a strong/ PR swim.
