    TWO more questions ...

    Do you use the Saladacco Spiral Splicer to make zucchini pasta?

    If not, what would you recommend?

    Also, I hate juicing ... I noticed you're using a "Vitamix". Can I use a Vitamix for juicing?

  • @karenbcz22 Spiral splicer way cool lost mine. YOU HATE JUICING... WHAT? Juicing with Vitamix... you can but it's a mess and hassle... go get a juicer BE HAPPY!

  • @RawSangha My problem is "juicers" are such a mess to clean. A blender is so much easier. I think I'm gonna buy a "Vita-Prep" ... easier clean-up.

    I just RUINED everything. About 20 minutes after the soup, I had dessert ... TWO SLICES of CHEESECAKE!

  • Wow!! I just made this ... minus the cashews, dates & coconut, which I couldn't get at my local supermarket. I added some Kale. The soup IS DELICIOUS!

    I bet the cashews, dates & coconut would've added a nice consistency.

    Still tasty tho'.

  • @karenbcz22 mmm mmm mmm YEAH the cashews especially give it a smooth creamy texture. I love beets don'e really eat them much though I JUICE them. Namaste -BE:-)

  • Oh geesh!! I just realized you DIDN'T use OIL in this recipe.

    Do the cashews take the place of using the oil?

    I use Olive oil in all my recipes.

  • DId you use a BROWN or GREEN coconut??

    The brown coconuts have the "hair/straw" covering them. The green c-nuts have a smooth shell. Coconuts are very difficult to work with, IMHO.

  • In the beginning intro on this soup to me it looked like a pink inside to the 1/2 cut coconut, pink indices need to not be used as I have been told way long ago. Never use pink meat ok!!!!!

  • @karenbcz22 GOOGLE coconut aminos and you'll get the scoop. It's basically a substitute for soy sauce... it's really good!

  • Wow!! I was making Carrot Soup wheen I started watching this video.

    I went right into the kitchen, grabbed some cinnamon and added it to my soup.

    I agree re: "EARTH" ... fantastic addition to any soup.

    I like my "Earth" in a hot broth.

  • @karenbcz22 YES EARTH with hot water and chop up some green onions and cilantro let it steep for 15 minutes... YUM!!!

  • @karenbcz22 that's correct I don't soak my cashews theres no reason why you should unless you want to soften them up. There is no enzyme inhibitor in cashews.

  • Looks yummy!!! I'm the only raw foodie in the house, for now at least ;) How long will this stay good in the fridge? So many recipe video's don't give this information :( I could always half the recipes, but if I know it would be fine for 2-3 days then I'd rather not and just have a fridge full of goodies to choose from. Thanks for another great video!!

  • i tried to open a coconut with one of my knives last night and the knife broke into two. :P it was a BEAST coconut. great video, I love the recipe vids.
