@darnact depending on the program you use, you can draw a midi region with pencil tool on the midi track, double click on it, and draw notes, some programs allow to use your keyboard (your pc keyboard)) as a music keyboard. Or write notes in guitar pro (or any other ), export midi, and import it into your program...
