  • Thanks for putting up this video lesson. It made it much easier to pick this song up. I posted a video response below after learning this from you.

  • hey man can you teach us how to play take a backroad by rodney adkins

  • So as not to confuse people just starting to learn, standard string numbering goes from high to low. The string at the bottom (high e) is considered the first string, B is the second, etc. up to the low E at the top of the guitar, which would be the 6th.

Also, G/B is a G chord with a B bass note. Basically, finger the chord as you normally would, but don't play the 6th (G note) string. Don't ignore these, they really can add flavor to the song!

Best of luck on future tutorials!

  • Dude I have watched a number of your videos. Jesus man Please Learn the song before you put a tutorial on youtube cause you are making yourself look like a tard learning and teaching at the same time.... Just for future references.... Play the song through as well

  • dude ur like the best guitar teacher on youtube:O

  • word

  • @Goodkidonvagas STFU

  • muy buena

  • Hey Aaron...another great lesson. Can you comment on the strum?

    Thanks,

    ...scottd

  • gotcha, best thing to do is to try and keep on rhythm, you can change the strum pattern as long as you keep rhythm, i want you to try and get the strum pattern yourself and let me know if you cant figure it out, i want to try and push yout o pick these out on your own, its an important part of learning the guitar

  • I will keep you posted...my wife is looking forward to me mastering this song....NOT :-)

  • Hey man to play the g/b in a way to sound right just play a g normal and then mute the 6th string and just strum from the 5th string down. g/b is a G with a B bass note so if you just strum from the 5th strind down which starts on the B it'll sound right.

  • that is correct, the best way is to mute it with your thumb wrapping around or just take the pressure off with your middle finger

  • Thanks man! You helped alot. Im 14 too i'm starting to learn i'm getting better. I was just wondering though if you can do more finger picking songs? Because I find it much easier then strumming chordes. Thanks again! = ]
