Carl What speed are you normally turning at? I noticed that the wood chips are flying much faster off your turnings than they do mine and I have basically decided that i am turning too slowly. Beginners caution i guess you could call it.
Here in SC we have really little humming birds that would fit right in there. I like it. And you got a new skew chisel? Thanks for all your video lessons. I need all the help I can get. Today I think I turned an entire Hickory tree into wood chips. But I had to play with the new lathe. Ended up making a pen and a new handle for my fro. Broke the last one trying to split a cedar tree. Again, thanks for all your great videos.

I have watched most of your videos and have learned a lot from them. My question is, what is the ratio of your wax to the mineral oil? Great videos, thanks.
I've watch a lot of your videos and they are all great but one question; is that really all sanding you have to do?? In all your videos your sanding time is like 20 seconds.. Pretty sharp tools ey?
Your amazing a woodturning. Hope I can get as good. Half as good will do me.

@nicholls611 I start out slow until I have it trued up and then I turn at about 2000 RPMs depending on the size of the piece.

That turned out well. The lovely thing about bird house ornaments is that the only limits are the scraps you have and your imagination.
