Apparently he practices with no amp but just electric strings, Don't know why but he says it gives him that edge over others? Whatever, keep it going without sacrificing accuracy for speed.

Excellent! GL is not an easy player to emulate because he plays in such an unusual way. One thing GL is not, is "obvious and predictable". The perhaps most insane thing here is this: YOU probably play it better than GL himself these days.
