  • @LxLightYAOILove - wrong luv, it is Canadian step dancing.

  • thats tap, nt step.

  • My God! shes brilliant dancer, sigh I want to learn step dancing

  • this is more tap/ step rather than step :) but she iss amazing!!

  • great job!!.. what's the song's name?

  • This is my favorite step dancing video of all time!! I used to to Irish step dance, but nobody in Minnesota teaches this "Canadian style" of stepping here... I would love to learn it of course!!

  • She's awesome. Does anyone know of any good instructional videos to learn this type of dance?

  • Wow! She's got game... Thumbs up to your teacher :)

  • WOW

  • could you upload more videos of step dancing??

  • dude that's awesome. reminds me of the older people dancing step at weddings and stuffn on dee rez :)

  • Great job, do you know what tune this is?

  • I am an Irish Step Dancer and I know that this form of step dance is of the French Acadian and Prince Edward Island tradition which is another pan-celtic form of dance that has evolved over the past several decades in the Maritime provinces of Canada,Ottawa valley is another form of canadian step dance and Cape Breton is another form of step dance unique to The Celtic Canadian tradition. They are all great styles of Step Dance!!! Irish Dance included of course!!!! lol

  • It IS step dancing. It's Canadian, which is a mix of American, Irish, Cape Breton, you name it... they mix a lot of styles, especially Ottawa Valley step dancers.

  • What's the step called at 0:36?

  • This is tap dancing not step

  • It's Canadian step dancing. Actually, the last step she does is the most common Irish reel step. I'm not even a dancer, but I'm a musician and I've seen Irish dancers do that a million times.

  • Leahy!! Woohoo!

  • whoooaaaa he is good :3

  • nett

  • ist deine mutter schön?1

  • its my teather 2 is manon!!!!!!

  • This is canadian step dancing !

    Nice eh !

  • nice legs

  • is this irish dancing or no?

  • No. He's moving his arms and the Irish Dance shoes don't have the metal tips and heels on them. That is totally different from Irish Dancing.

    Hope I helped :]

  • they do to have metal.

  • I mean the heels and tips are fiberglass. Not metal.

  • and in irish dance you are supposed to keep your feet turned in an external direction

  • @emilykessel2 - there are alot of steps and movements that are similar in Canadian step and irish dance as well as Scottish & French.

  • @emilykessel2 no you are wrong there is irish softshoe and irish hardshoe i have done irish softshoe and then i moved to step dance and i have been doing it for three years. yes you have to keep your hands straight in irish but in step you dont. irish softshoe helped me become a better step dancer.

  • I like the click in the air that looks like a Mary Poppins step. It is really neat!

  • OH MY GOD!!!!

  • h0_0ly f'n shii, that is amazing. ;O;

  • COOL !!!!!

  • Tout simplement extraodinaire!

Une vitesse et une performance à vous coupées le souffle!

  • bitchin'! I like it!

  • That is a really great clip! Love the footwork! What kind of shoes are you wearing? They have a really nice sound. I am looking for new split sole single taps for clogging. Thanks!

  • my neighbours would shoot me with a shot gun lol. Nice dancing

  • I can do it but a bit slower...

  • Hey k8 - so is this traditional CB or OttawaValley then? sorry it's got so much flair I would think Ottawa but it also reminds me of one of the MacNeill girls from CB

  • damn that cool

  • wow that is really neat

  • i'll let u in on a secret.. im irish, im 14 and i dance for my county.. im not sure if you think my opinion counts, but you have to be one ov the most skillful dancers ive ever seen [and believe mem thats alot, as i am at county level, competing all over Ireland]

    keep on dancing

    <3.x x Caragh

  • absolutely amazing! this is the best i´ve ever seen, even better than riverdance

  • That style of dancing is just like pretty fiddle music: it stirs my soul.

  • Whats that song in the back?

  • I also do Irish Step but that soooo much better

    than me

  • that is epic!

  • HaldirOfLorien, I'm 19 and I believe there's no limit on it. practise, and coordination go a long way! I don't know how to step dance, but never too late to learn! you'll be great if you really want it

  • That's really comforting... thank you, I think I'll give a go at it when I have time enough!

  • Haldir - I have a friend who didn't start until she was 25 or 30 and now she runs a local dance studio. just go for it.

  • if you people like step dance you should perhaps check out the trance song with laze- "steppin out". step dance looks cool, but i´d much rather use my time in a gym, where i did see great results in some months. this probably takes years to accomplish.non the less impressive, but i can imagine it would be quite boring when you are with your wife or husband hehe :)

  • OMG! that made me want some "Irish munt" & I don't even know what that is lol!!

  • I wish I could step dance... that's pretty much the only thing I wish I could do :) Is it too late to start at 20 yrs? I mean, if I start at 20 years old, could I ever become this good?

  • @HaldirOfLorien - I just started this style of dance and I am over 50. very good exercise.

  • hey, you're really good.

i'm a stepdancer, i've been dancing since i was 4, and now i'm 13, and i was just wondering, if you could give me the name to that song!, if you could, that'd be great!:).

    you're really good!

    thankss!:)

  • If there is one style of dance I wish to learn, it's this. I love it, and you're an amazing step dancer. Keep up your passion!

    {Nightfox Seal of Approval}

  • I knew I recognized the style...Jocelyn taught me when I first started out, we would dance in her parents yard!! I miss you Jocelyn!!

  • I love it... I would like to learn myself...

  • Excellent. well-done.i admire stepdancing and i hope top learnit some day. i want to learn how.

  • I stepdance. I'm not as good as she is though.

  • This teacher is a wonderful dancer! I live in Minnesota and I would give anything to find a teacher who knows this style and gives lessons...Very hard to find!!

  • DDR FOREVER!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah, you're right, I was mixed up. It's part of the call to dacne medley by Leahy

  • She's dancing to "Catharsis" by Natalie McMaster

  • I believe she's dancing to Richard Wood, but I can't think of the track name right now. I know it's definitely not "Catharsis".

  • that's awesome, there's a lot of great fiddlers and step dancers from there!

  • My teacher would like to remain anonymous to the youtube viewers. I will say I do attend Jocelyn Bourque's school.

  • is that jocelyn bourque?

  • WOW!!! She rocks....who is your teacher...I might be moving to bn next year and would love lessons from her? PS do you know what music she is dancing to?

  • I'll ask her what the music is next week at class

  • excellent..thanks. Also who is your teacher...you know in case I move down there in nb next year....i like the looks of her dancing and would love lessons!
