The only girls I ever compliment are girlfriends/fiancées/wives of other men. It's safe to compliment them because they're off-limits anyway. I think it cuts the other way too that girlfriends/fiancées/wives of other men are the only ones who compliment me as well.

I disagree with using compliments in dating. It has never worked with me and chances are, it won't work for you either.

Who the hell is this guy... girls don't want a compliment....thats a one way ticket to the friend zone. Girls get showered with compliments... you dont wanna just "be another guy", you want to stand out from the rest. In the end...you want to do quite the opposite of what most men do. But first things first, that CONFIDENCE has to be real,so if you dont have it, get it and this will all make sense, it will become second nature. Women like getting compliments - it makes them happy.

This does not mean any man should try to meet women and start conversations with wheelbarrow full of kiss-ass.

The problem with giving flowery compliments is that it makes a guy come across wrong - from a woman's perspective he's trying to earn points with her and she's not going to feel attracted to a guy who thinks he doesn't have to right to start a conversation or get a date with her without some sort of bribe.
