Just over 80 days to Glastonbury 2011 and to re-live some memories I'm watching the amazing performance of Elbow from 2008. I was lucky to be near the front and will try again this year. Superb!

@2slimshady Agreed. I'm from the U.S. and am very jealous. But, Elbow is way less popular here than they are there. Radiohead is extremely popular here, though. I'm lucky that our local NPR station played a song of Elbow's so my brother would look them up. Also, you should add the Beatles to that list.
they played this at t in the park aswell and i was so dissappointed that most people didn't know the songs this one. leadrs of the free world is their best album [after seldom seen kid]
That dozy bint who organises it, listed elbow last year as one of the greatest ever glasto gigs correctly. So why were they on in daylight and not headlining? Oh yeah Jay Z nuff sed
I love seeing Guy Garvey being so into it that he's playing air bass on his Strat. Top marks to the man, the song and the band, and congrats on the Mercury.
He's not playing "air bass", he's playing the guitar. There's a lot of subtle things going on in Elbow's songs, Guy plays some simple one-line guitar parts in this song behind his vocals as well as the guitar/vocal solos in the middle and end.
I love the Band, I insanely love this song too... not sure if I really mind either Elbow is actually underrated or not, same for a couple of band I like much like Cake or Wilco or... that's my private and unshared mid aged man pleasure ;-)
This vid should have 1000 times more views than it has. I know I keep repeating this, but I really do hate when underappreciated bands get ducked under the social radar..
But as Legzakimbo2002 said, the cat is out of bag. Give them time and they will flourish..
As for the concert.. I truly am at the peek of my happiness when I'm listening to incredible bands playing live. It's beaultiful.
Sad to say it now, Elbow were a little known best kept secret, the cats out of the bag now. Oh well.. a huge congrats to them thou, they are brilliant and my joint fave band with Radiohead.. Anyone for the Elbows Roundhouse gig in October?
R.E.M., Elbow, Coldplay and Muse are my favorite bands

One of the reasons why these three and Radiohead make us Brits the envy of the music world. No one can touch us.
