  • I figured it out. I missed the the reconnect of the small ribbon cable (i.e. keyboard connector). Thanks Again!

    mine only has a damaged touch screen but i guess id replace the whole thing anyways. sure wish they made these things a little easier to repair lol

  • @Flyingwigs This is actually quite a straight forward repair once you get going. Its not very tricky at all.

    The touch screen and LCD screen are fused together on this model.

  • @RepairsUniverse Thanks for the help. I would like to suggest that you do the video over and with a higher definition and EXTRA lighting so folks can actually see better what you are trying to show. A liitle more explanation at several points, where you just ease on by something that does need clarification, and then end it all up with the steps, and relative pitfalls, for re-assembly.

    My tilt now LIVES, again!

  • Great tutorial this helped me replace my screen and replace the entire plastic case. Its practically brand new.

    For other users who bought an LCD or Touch Screen seperately, you may want to note that both LCD and Touch screen can be seperated by desolder the gold contact.

  • Anyone replaced the SIM TRAY HOLDER? My sim card stop being recognized and it's a separate part you can buy so I thought I'd try replacing it.

  • I have the same problem. Is your memory card not being detected as well? I opened mine up to do a diagnostic and found that the main flex cable was in bad condition due to sliding open the phone over the years and further deterioration of the phone later occurred (screen was all white and later wouldn't even come on after sliding the phone open). So now I have a dead screen but I'm sure it's due to
