50 mph on most roads in the uk you would get your collar felt by the SS ...an on the spot fine, and three to six penalty points to go with it.... cheers nano coating i'ii stick to the good old wipers thanks........
Nanotechnology carglass? Why not just call it Biotechnical spidersemen? It's like packaging up a bar of soap and calling it microscopic debris removal.
@xTheDeathSaintx: I did it in Swizerland by swiss-nano-tec.ch and for my new Van / Jeep I paid only CHF 640.-- about 450-500 Euros. I'm very satisfied and would recommend it to everyone.
are there any health concerns about nanoparticles and how they interact with our bodies? I read that carbon nanotubes can cause lung cancer if inhaled.
Is there really any "nano-technology" involved? looks like chemistry: I thought nano-tech was incredibly small machines or parts etched on silicon or molded, using optical etching tecniques developed in making integrated circuit chips...?
@ednorandrewrowe was thinking the same thing myself but the term nano implies that which is nano metres in size so technically this stuff is nano technology, just not in the sence of nano sized machines but instead nano sized materials. The nano coating on the glass has the same properties as wax so not that impressive. Nano machines/ robots, now they are something amazing but dangerous if they were given the ability to self replicate as scientists are now talking about!
@Elbarto1277 No, only about 30mph or 50kpm. When you're stopped, the water falls off, and when you're traveling at around 30 or higher it whisks away. Only between those speeds is where you have to worry.
@Elbarto1277 so fast that time starts going backwards... but then you'd be going backwards, so then you'd just be going back to your destination and restarting your route and accelerating to the point of making time go backwards again and so be caught in a pepetual time loop. Doh! What has this imagination of mine gotten me into?
This is great if it works on all surfaces, but the video only showed the glass. RainX does this already and it's been out for years. I use the stuff religiously. I never need to use my wiper blades no matter how hard it's raining.
Actually, I think Citroën already tried that in the 1960s but I think only now would it be viable. I like this stuff - I started using similar products 15 years ago (RainX - still around but not as good as nano coating).
It´s a coating material on a chemical nanotechnology level that is hydrophobic. Aqueous and oily liquids are simply repelled. Dirt, bugs, ice and other contaminants on windows can be removed easier.
Frozen windows can be cleared much more easily without having to scrape. Rain, road dirt and splashes are simply repelled. Tar splashes, oil film, dead bugs and plant resins can simply be wiped off - even in excessively mucky cases. You will always have a clear view.
How long it last? Do I have to reapply every 6 months or so?

@ednorandrewrowe
This is a different type of nano-tech, this is like the sort of thing found in lotus plant leaves.
It's superhydrophobic, search "Lotus Coating with Nano Glass"
You will be pretty shocked tbh.

nano-technonolgy refers to the small ness of things.
What you watched was TiO2 nanoparticles.

Do you have demonstration over surfboards?, I suppose it works under water surface, and this speed is similar in that kind of sport

How fast I need to drive, so that the rain drops start "flying" away ?
Elbarto1277 2 years ago 5
Around 50mph ;)
schneppat 2 years ago
@Elbarto1277 Just a few hundred mile per hour, if you hit others dont worry there will not be pain they will just die. =D

You also need to reapply rain-x more often than nanolex, this will work on headlights and mirrors.
I don't think rain-x allows you to do either.

doesnt the same effect really appen with a hot wax ?
SufiBuddhist 2 years ago
This sealant will stay for up to 1 year. A hotwax can´t do it like the nano sealant.

this product is really good....
but what happens if it is 120km/h..
does it makes the view blur...??
Zezalful 2 years ago
The faster you drive, the better the lotus effect. The same with the rain, more rain -> better view ;)
schneppat 2 years ago
Officer, I was only driving fast to get a clearer view.

Amazing! Cars in the next few years will only have a high speed blower that blows off beads of water until it reaches about 50 mph!

It´s long lasting (up to one year or about 12,500 miles / 20,000 km). You can find more information on the website of Percenta ...
schneppat 3 years ago
Oh and something else, does it stay for long or not? And from what the duration depends.
Thank you for your time!
