You basically need to buy a new computer. Minimum I would recommend would be a pentium4 3.0ghz 2-3gigs of ram and a Nividia 8800 series or similar graphics card.

Yes defenetly. I have play WoW since beta but now i play Age of Conan ands its awesome. I dont have a good computer but i dont carei go at low settings and its still nice graphic + graphics is nothing compared to gameplay, which AoC has mastered!

putting it simple wow was bloody brilliant but its true once uve spent enough time playing it u realise ur either killing the same npc 1000 times for ur motes or ur waiting 1 hour for ur raid to get going or ur doing av 30 times a day. if ur lucky once a week u get to do arenas which is great when u get in but waiting 9 minutes aint to flash. wow is just a reason to waste time, hopefully aoc wont be 20 a month just to stand there n wait.

The truth is that most of the posters that claim WoW is better are either 12 or 35 and live in the basement. AoC is a good game that has a reason for playing. WoW all you do is grind so you can get get.......so you can grind the exact same thing again with new gear and that is it.

Helge I think you make a point with people comparing to WoW, but one thing I would like to point out is that now that AoC is coming out, WoW will probably lose many ADULT players. Compared to WoW this is a gory game that many adults want, unlike the childish cartoonyness of WoW. Both good games but WoW is for little MMORPGers and AoC will be for more mature players

Gunna have to say teenagers will be highly drawn to the violence too. If you were in highschool/middle school you'd be doing OOO's and AH's at the gore/nudity in this game. I would. Shiiit- When I was 8 HBO was my favorite channel on T.V.

That and ever since I got into MMOs realism (earth tone graphics) and what not have always drawn me to a game. Played WoW for a bit and found myself back in DAOC (free servers ofcourse). Rather play low population game over graphics and tone any day.

Would just like to add that the character creation has Advanced features with 30 or more sliders to change things but i just went for the basic pre sets for this test :)
