....and just in case any religious people got upset. I have nothing against religion as long as it is based on the love and respect of humanity, earth and the universe in general. Hate and descrimination can be found in most religions alongside love and humanism, but that doesn't mean they are part of all religious people's beliefs and practices.
I love Youtube, but am constantly suprised to find people taking it seriously. Go read a good book, talk to a friend, a loved one or some one you respect. Study, think , use your brain, do some art, and give someone a hug...and most of all stop being so negative. If you didn't find some all encompassing truth on Youtube or the internet than maybe you're looking in the wrong place. Anyone writing negative and offensive comments is probably breaking a commandment and definitely being antisocial :)
I will say this once and for all. YouTube is NOT the place to search for truth, enlightenment or anything other than light entertainment, adverts, lies and cats in humorous situations. Anything worthwhile you may stumble upon is far from the norm. There are thousands of excellent videos on Youtube, brilliant animations and wonderful artistic endeavours, however, as a free and open platform it is filled mainly with absolute trash.
Stupid religious person, they are part of an artistic, animated video pro-mo fro MTV exercise as part of an after effects class. People, stop taking things so seriously.I mean, realy, do you expect to find religious and philosophical truth and enlightenment. Your comments and thoughts(and I refer to ninety nine percent of the comments I have received for this video) simply expose yourselves as imbeciles.
It is believed in jewish myth, sorry I mean holy scripture that menstruation was a punishment from God for eva´s sin of f*cking Adam. So far so good, what we today call menstruation is gods punishment for whoever had sex with Adam.
Monkeys also menstruate.... Which leads to the conclusion that Adam also f*cked monkeys. Not just 1 type of monkey but all species of monkeys, Adam was monkey f*cker!
@kasimconer You're comment warms my heart. It brings me no end of pleasure to find that people are still searching for a smidgeon of truth on youtube and expecting to find it, especially in a film described as "An advert I made as an exercise for an after effects class".
The bible is a code book and it interprets itself. A tree in the bible represents people. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Tree of life is Jesus. The serpent is what Jesus called, 'That old serpent of old, the devil." Eve was talking to the devil, an angel, that looked human but was a snake in character. The sin they committed was a sexual sin which is why they covered their bodies and not their mouths. You biblical illiterates!
@SuperNicaChica how interesting... I would really like to know what those who wrote down the stories, which were collected and finally put together, think about this interpretation... maybe something like... how stupid to believe in it...
If they'ld know the kinds of books written today, they might also just ask you, why you don't pray to Sauron, wear a ring and interpret the 3 books of Lord of the rings....
I realize that we do not fully understand how the universe came to be. How can you expect us to know this in such a short period of time? Significant scientific advancements have only taken place in the last few hundred years. The age of the Earth is 4.54 billion years old. The universe is 13.75 ± 0.13 billion years old.
The bible says the Earth is less than 10,000 years old. I’m not sure why Christians get their science from the Flintstones...
Okay, not only is the story of Adam and Eve stupid to believe, but the artist who drew these pictures must be a complete idiot ... they have belly - buttons ....moron alert.
@wolfriderxxx Once again, the story of Adam and Eve is only idiotic if you refer to it as something that actually happened, rather than as an allegory.Once you manage to bend your brain around that concept the belly buttons that the artist has depicted, are completely relevant. As the artist is long dead, I'm sure he doesn't mind. I would be more worried about a snake having a small blonde head.
The writer of Genesis 3v16 had a (failed) theory that God deliberately made child birth more difficult, would such an act be worthy of praise? I don't think so ! The real reason for the difficulties of delivery are to do with the evolutionary change between quadrupedalism and bipedalism and the changes to anatomy of pelvis that went with that. In Gen 3v16 was the observation of increase in pain a comparison to how other animals give birth or to the imagined perfect beginning in Eden?
Finally a sensible comment with the potential to trigger a truly rational debate on the moral imperative that is inherently part of the story of mankind's beginning, whilst analising the nature of the fruit industry effect on post-modern theology in relation to quantum mathematics :)

The part of Adam and Eve has been played by actors suffering from a pigmentation deficit. They were chosen out of charity as they find it hard to find work in their and are discriminated against for their condition. The part of the snake was played by a midget with his hands and legs tucked into a side pocket, accept for the bit between 12-14 seconds, which played by a stunt man named Charles.
Well, Rambam sees this as an allegorical story.I can't remember all of what I heard, but Adam and Eve are supposed to represent different sides of Man (i.e mankind). Eve is our imagination. Our imagination has the potential to lead us to sin and the potential to lead us to greater things. As to the whole Adam and Eve story, well, it's both simple and complicated. It really depends on how you want to look at it.
@asafshub But imagination is all we live in, we cannot live without imagination, that would be like the body living without the mind. Both imagination and reality create the world we see, and are consistently interchangeable. To say that imagination has the potential to lead us to sin, define sin. Sin is nothing more that a mere label created at the beginning of Christianity to bear the exclusion of necessary ideas to reach enlightenment, to keep believers stupid and afraid to seek the truth.
@Dreamsofyuri You are almost absolutely right, and very eloquent. I can't agree that sin as a concept was created with christianity, as it certainly was around much earlier. As a tangible label attached to the actions of mankind and individuals in a moral and judgemental sense, I would say that sin is real, and it can be argued that sin can be broken down to universal constants and to changeable and fluid actions. Actions to some extent can also include thoughts. The idea that the imagination...
@asafshub Oh absolutely, this was formed far earlier, as far back as neo-pagan beliefs, and wicca divination. As a matter of fact, the loose cult is what spawned belief itself. The exploration of the sublime and hidden has been enacted since our beginning. Also to examine more closely to physical ties, the answers we seek are already within us. There was once this girl who asked a super computer the answer to the universe and everything, and the computer replied 42.
...the idea that imagination leads to sin should be rephrased. Imagination "can" lead to sin. This is one of the fascinating aspects of the human condition - without imagination we can not exist, yet imagination can always lead us in the "wrong" direction. Whatever "wrong" I leave to your discretion, belief, culture and imagination. Rambam's approach to the story of Adam and Eve (on this level) is an important lesson telling us to be aware that are thoughts are not entirely (if at all)...
...not entirely (if at all) in our control and have the potential to take us very high and far but also very low. Obviously, Rambam adheres to the convention of Mitzvot (within the Jewish theology) and therefore has an existing list of ideals and laws to guide him, although these are also subject to constant re-examination and can not be fully understood or practised without study and analysis.Whether you agree with him or not, it's worth thinking about and at least an interesting hypothesis.
@asafshub I have always seen some good in the morality of the scripture, yet to an extent, There is a seemingly obvious discrimination made against free will, and women in the entire scripture. It places women second class, objectifies them, and is anti glbt, which thus is a very hurtful and unrealistic approach to life. Not to mention a very limited view and take on things. Truly the book wreaks of male supremacy and very hateful ideals against gays. It often reminds of nazi beleifs.
@asafshub And labeling others impure and saying they are wrong is a limited opinion, and much correlates to the belief of Monarchy, in which a singular device, entity, being, dictates what is right and wrong, yet that does not make it true.
@Dreamsofyuri I do agree it can lead us low, but restricting your views and labeling yourself correct and true when you discriminate against all else without knowing it is far worse.
@rpe3esq God could poof away all our genitals tomorrow and instantly reprogram us to think it's normal n' shit. Why the fuck you trippin' about belly buttons when all reality is Fake & Gay?
whoever wrote the very first account of genesis must have been granted a personal interview from this god or else there's no other way for anyone to know how it really happened because nobody else was there... so the most logical explanation is it's all just made up fantasy just like the other creation myths from different religions.

I am very excited that anyone at all is taking any of this seriously enough to actually comment or rate it. It has proven something that I have believed for a long time: the people who are generally inclined to comment on such things are in themselves a bunch of narrow minded ingnoramouses (perhaps ignoramai...). The tale of Adam and Eve is almost certainly allegorical.
@asafshub And by allegorical, you mean the only true part about it was that once upon a time, there was a naked woman who shared fruit with a naked man. That I can believe. Everything else, I cannot.
This doesn't mean it never happenned, just that there is more to it than the underline basic story. In any case Rambam (Maimondes has some interesting thoughts on the matter). But, weather you believe this or not.It doesn't change the fact that anyone giving negative comments for this film is obviously looking in the wrong place for truth and religion. It's YOUTUBE!!!!! Don't take it so seriously.
The story of Adam and Eve, whilst maybe being a true story (of course, that's only my humble opinion, which no-one need agree with) can also be perceived as a metaphor. If the latter be the case, it doesn't matter what colour Adam and Eve are, or what tree and what fruit represent the tree of knowledge. In any case I used an existing Renaissance painting and for Adam and Eve and added the MTV Logo and the loud speakers from other sources - I don't think it's a travesty. It's youtube!
@asafshub do we reap the fruits of our labor? Is fruit sustenance? When we eat, do we not take it into our body? Oh yeah, and all races got on board the Ark, you will find it in Gen 7:15 (KJV). The serpent is wise, and Eve was but an innocent babe. Interesting stuff, ehhh.
@raptor9162 How do you know they were black? Likely you are right however we don't know for sure. Skin color seems to be such an issue today, why should we care?
