  • hey guys come see my swing on my wall and tell me what you think?

  • Your face at the end made the video that much better haha

  • @Spence233

    Just had to...

  • The hazard isnt marked, so he couldve called it casual water and got a free drop.

  • @caniacgolfer24

It was marked by a yellow stakes (water hazard). Believe me, if it was casual water, I would have taken the drop.

  • FAG

  • @PuRezDaZe

Takes a lot of balls to make comments like that while hidden behind the anonymity of the internet, doesn't it?

  • @repsajuil1 takes a lot of balls to hit it off the green doesn't it?

  • @PuRezDaZe

If you're talking about inaccuracy in golf, you are absolutely correct. The more inaccurate a ballstriker you are, the more likely you will need to hit more golf balls (ie. take more strokes) or even use use more golf balls during a given round of golf. I still maintain that your original cheap-shot comment of 'FAG' two weeks ago is the stuff of cowards and earns you the title of 'Youtube Pussy'. Time to move out of mom and dad's basement, Toughguy.

  • The left foot caused the ripple. I didn't see the club ground. Nice shot.

  • @mayonpi1

That's exactly what I've been telling all of the Youtube naysayers. Thanks for your comment and your support! Happy New Year!

  • i most likely would have missed the ball.

  • @langleyishappy

I could easily have missed the ball completely and made a mess out of the whole thing. I'm glad the ball came out the way it did and I escaped decently both score-wise and dirt-wise. I wish I made the putt though.

  • Nice shot.. its appears he did ground his club, but after re-watching it, he was careful NOT to ground his club each time.. he knew the rules it appears.. Nice shot.. the question now remains..... did you make the putt :)

  • @MissionScratch59

Unfortunately, my par putt from the fringe missed and I had to settle for a bogey-4 (which, I guess, was better than a double-bogey-5). Thanks for the comment!

  • Yeah, that's the way to go! Whenever you find the water, just try hitting it out! Just ask Bill Haas who won the FedExCup after getting it up-and-down from the water.

  • @sciencegenius123

Well, I definitely wouldn't do it every time. For me, that shot was in the 'once-a-decade' category. Thanks for commenting!

  • This "club grounding" nonsense makes this shot controversial...

  • @mclarenguy22

    It sure does!

  • Why is there all the argument over whether he grounded his club? The video is trying to show the shot itself and has nothing to do with how many strokes it took to make it.

  • 0:17 MASHED POTATOES!!

  • Grounded the club at .07

So he was stupid shoulda just taken the drop

  • @TonyGuoga

I'm not going to waste my time with a personalized comment for every goomba who says I grounded my club. Just read the previous comments, Toughguy.

  • excellent shot, no penalty.

  • OMG IT'S JACKI CHAN

  • pretty poor, would have greened it myself

  • @chick1440

Stop talking about it, do it, record it and post it, Toughguy...

  • mmh i can make you go crazy

  • hm baby You not gonna be bored with me

  • cool uk rules

  • If the ball was indeed struck twise it's a two stroke penalty! Ha Ha.

  • so i am ur girl toy

  • The first time I watched your video I knew that you had made a fabulous golf shot. I also believed that your clubhead had made contact with the water TWICE prior to beginning your stroke. I watched a second time and felt sure contact was made at least once. So I started at the beginning comment and read ALL 238. When I watched the 3rd time it was obvious that the ripples were caused by your left foot moving. All players are required to call a penalty on themselves for any infraction. PRICELESS!!

  • @mrdarok85

I think I went through the same spectrum of points of view as you did when I first uploaded the video. The friend who recorded the video told me to look at my left foot closely.

  • @mrdarok85 who cares?

  • @mrdarok85 i would like your comment, but then i had to login..

  • garbage

  • @jmarra37

    Explain.

  • How far underwater would you say that ball was? Its is difficult to tell in the video whether it is just below the surface, or 6" down.

  • @RobertMOdell

Good question. I don't think I would have attempted the shot if the ball was sitting any more than half-submerged. From memory, I'd say it was just less than half-submerged. Remember Jean Van de Velde at the 72nd hole of the '99 Open Championship? The ball was slowly sinking while he was deciding whether or not to play it.

  • that is not that hard to do if the ball is in water like that if u hit the water bout 2-3 inches behind ball the water pushes the ball out kind of like bunker shot had a similar shot last week

  • @ludapry

That's exactly how I envisioned the shot: soft-sand bunker explosion. It came out beautifully.

  • I remeber i went golfing once and i said i would only use one golfball, all the way till i sunk it on the 18th. Got in a lot of forest, and i got in a water hazard and fished it out, got a funny bounce on a cart path and almost went to the next course, same ball. 18th FREAKING GREEN, the rough was no joke 3 inches. sliced into it, hit it over the green and back into the rough on the other side. Could not find it anywhere, it VANISHED. worst game of my life.

  • @DudeGuyPerson64

If only golf balls could talk, eh?

  • Nice shot! Pure!

  • you pulled a dustin johnson and grounded your club in a hazard but nevertheless great shot :)

  • this is cool!

  • uhh he didn't ground his club thats his fucking foot moving you scrub.

  • 126 yard? and you came up short in the water? nevertheless nice recovery.

  • @dangleman1

Could have been anything: hit it a bit fat, a touch of wind, anything. Do you pure 100% of your shots, middle of the clubface every single time?

  • @repsajuil1 nope, i was just curious how it happened, but like i said a nice recovery so props

  • he looks like if harold and kumar had a kid.

  • nice, raj.

  • Hit the green next time

  • Comment removed

  • @milesdavisblackmx5

Know the rules of golf before making dumb-ass comments about golf.

  • Dustin Johnston needs to take a leaf out of your book :)

  • You grounded your club in the water.

Haha, just kidding. Cool shot man

  • @grominey24 Shut the fuck up , he didn't ground his club, let's see you fucking take a shot out of a water hazard, go back to fucking Mini Putt.

  • @athletepump

    Thanks, eh?!

  • It is from his left heel so no penalty. Cracking shot :)

  • @afceurope

    Cheers, mate!

  • people are not talking about the "ripples" they're talking about the 5 foot splash with muck that was obviously not from your left foot ...DENIAL... in every sense of the word

  • @thosemynikes

If that's what they mean, then they nothing about golf. 'Grounding' refers to soling the club BEFORE the stroke is played. Deny your lack of intelligence now, Einstein.

  • so, lets see.. cant clear yhe water on a 126 yard hole, leaves shoes on in the water, grounds the club AND willing to most likely ruin some pants for 1 shot? Dumbshit

  • @angus4463

There was no need to take my shoes off as the water was less than an inch deep. Hmmm...Let's see...I suppose if we were able to watch you every time you had a 126-yarder over water, you'd hit it pure every single time, in the middle of the clubface? Even tour players don't flush it 100% of the time. You got some balls talking trash to an amateur golfer while hiding behind the anonymity of the internet, toughguy.

  • Rory McIlroy?

  • nice save

  • Rory? LOL

  • When a player grounds the club before hitting the ball during a stroke, is he/she in breach of Rule 14-1?

  • I personally don't like the rule about grounding the club before hitting the ball. Does this breach rule 14-1?

  • @mclarenguy22

This does not breach rule 14-1.

  • who gives a shit if he grounded his club it was a cool shot...get off your high horses

  • its good because he is chinese and related to KJ Choi

  • @claycrowe

K.J. Choi is Korean but to ignoramuses, we all look the same.

  • didnt touch the water cant anyone see that?

  • He hit in into the water but he can do that? His tee shots may need to be worked on just a little more than his short game.

  • @hpmetsfan

Golf isn't a game of perfection, it's a game of recovery (especially when you play as little as I do).

  • Nice job on the video looks good. When you have time come visit my channel!

  • You gotta love the guy in the backround who has to stop and see whats the hell's going on.

  • That was a heck of a shot. Lucky, but a heck of a shot.

  • You grounded your club in the water

  • @grominey24

    Again, read comment history:

I also wondered if I had accidentally grounded my club after watching the video the first few times. The friend who shot the video told me to watch it again in High-Quality mode; the ripples are actually from my left foot moving, not from the club. No grounding of club, no penalty.

  • @grominey24 , no he didn't you retard

  • Absolute penalty, club touched water.

  • @dontbemeaningless

    Again, read comment history:

  • @dontbemeaningless penalty, you're a faggot. Two strokes, distance, and banning from youtube.

  • You grounded your club in the water

  • @th3hollow

  • that was a good shot. ill carry your bag next time.

  • but the real question is... did you make the putt?

  • @TheRyanWirtz

    Unfortunately not. Two-putted for bogey.

  • looks like an asian rory mcilroy

  • EASY shot!!!!!

  • hahaha iam going to disney land says some dudein backdrop

  • Nice shot!

  • Your still off the green my friend

  • @hpmetsfan

Indeed. And YOU'RE obviously not an English major.

  • haha i have them shoes!!!

  • Ha Haaaaaa

  • Yes he did touch the water, which negates the good shot.

  • @MrFitzwilly

Read the comment history. The ripples are from my front foot. The club was never grounded. No penalty.

  • MKE AUSTIN WAS THE GREAT TEACHES IN THE WORLD OF GOLF AND HE HIT THE GOLF BALL515 YARD AT AGE 64, DAN SHAUGER LEARNED FROM THE BEST TEACHES AUSTIN. That comment was brought to you by meth.

  • @bigboycat1 Cool story bro.

  • @bigboycat1 hey man..... have you been drinking?

  • @bigboycat1 lmao..wtf u talkin about lmao

  • he looks like kumar

  • Pause at 0:31 lol

  • @SamSosa1232

All the information should be in the box below the video. Just expand it. If you can't find it, I'll copy and paste it and send it to you.

  • @SamSosa1232 a golf course i think

  • @iamchris4lifefan11

I did hit one onto the back edge of a sloping green and i backspun it it 4 an eagle

  • please get fins and gills

  • i thought he was Rory Mcilroy

  • @thinchris

Why would someone with no videos worth uploading comment on the quality of other people's videos?

  • this just makes me want to play golf again now... darn you winter!

  • @mRspeN07

I know! Just a few more months to go...

  • @repsajuil1 i'd drag myself out there now but nooo we had to have 3 inches of snow didn't we!

  • @mRspeN07

No snow here, but the courses are pretty soggy with the rain we've been getting. Have you ever golfed in the snow? I'll tell you one thing: snow-trench-putting ensures a lot of one-putts (but you can't use white golf balls)!

  • @repsajuil1 o all we've had is snow! i can deal with it being soggy. i'd just throw on some waterproofs but i just hate the snow and ice!

ooo lots of one puts actually sounds like one hell of a good idea!

  • You look like Roy McElroy with head down.

  • @XxJessmiesterxX

I wish I had his game...

  • they should really put more water in that pond.

  • @repsajuil1

Nice shot i did one like that but i sliced it to another lake :P

  • @H4RR15K1D

    D'OH!!!

  • @H4RR15K1D sometimes i go from bunker to bunker. it gets frustrating.

  • @iamchris4lifefan11

As frustrating as that is, it's still better than going from water hazard to water hazard!

  • @repsajuil1 i suppose. at least i dont go into the bunker as much anymore. hardly really.

  • VERY NICE SHOT!

  • @ohall918

    Cheers, I appreciate the comment!

  • @repsajuil1 you're welcome!

  • @Bolgash999

Swearing on Youtube comments is for losers. So is playing with dolls.

  • Who are you? Rory McIlroy?

  • @TheBitchslapyo

I wish I had his game...I'm simply playing awful golf these days.

  • Ok please everyone you know that this was a great shot. He clearly didn't ground his club, and as a result there is no two stroke penalty.

    Great shot!

    -keep on playing!

  • @nikeboy876

Your support is very much appreciated. Thanks for the comment, Nikeboy!

  • Good recovery shot out of a water hazard...much better than Van De Velde

  • @profitb4people

Oh...Poor Van De Velde...Eleven years and counting and it's still painful to watch.

  • golf nerds just drop the ball on the edge..now u walk around wet like a fool

  • @emmteez1

Nope. Didn't get that wet at all. 200,000+ views and counting was worth the few drops of muddy water that dried within minutes. Thanks for watching.

  • Anybody else see the wild snorlax in the backround.

  • @PBRMafia

Wow, never thought I'd get a Pokémon reference in the comments!

  • @repsajuil1 lol ive just heard everybody else say it on here,i had no clue it was a pokemon lol

  • 1 stroke penalty for touching.grounding the water with his club first 00:07

  • @Bridxb

    Read comment history:

  • @repsajuil1

    Nice shot then

  • @repsajuil1 yeah i can see that =D nice shot

  • @repsajuil1 I agree - there was no distinguishable grounding to the naked eye. No way a "penalty" could have been definitively called on that. Cleary, you were careful to NOT touch the water throughout the shot until the full swing. Great shot!

  • @MattUNI2001

I appreciate the comment, Matt. You wouldn't believe how many wannabe USGA / R&A rules officials there are out here on Youtube!

  • good thing you didnt ground the club.

  • I have to say, nice shot.

  • why do that with white pants on?

  • @Nate3625

I should have known to wear darker pants that day...What was I thinking?!

  • but was it worth the shower?

  • @neil77fergy

It wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be: a few drops of water here and there and hardly any mud.

  • your club will rust lol

  • @Liamrox463

Maybe I should get myself a set of those Cleveland wedges!

  • @repsajuil1 yes they are nice clubs nice shot

  • @repsajuil1 my dad has a Cleveland Sand Wedge

  • lol

  • nice shot

  • left foot did cause the ripple

  • u rested your club in the hazard ur not allowed to

  • @TheGolfers4life

I also wondered if I had accidentally grounded my club after watching the video the first few times. The friend who shot the video told me to watch it again in High-Quality mode; the ripples are actually from my left foot moving, not from the club. No grounding of club, no penalty.

  • i bet that wrecked your club

  • @dizzeeswift

Not at all. The ground under the water was rather soft and muddy. Nothing a couple of wipes from a good golf towel couldn't remedy.

  • @repsajuil1 whats your handicap mate

  • @dizzeeswift

Oh, I'm a high-handicapper. All of my friends are. I got my handicap down to 13-and-change when I was working in Thailand and playing more. Now, I'm probably back up to 20-or-so. You?

  • nice shot must have looked up on the tee shot to be short on a 126 yard par 3

  • @BarakObama4Prez

I just hit it big-time fat, as I remember, and knew it was woefully short right away.

  • Did you feel silly when you realized your leather golf shoes, and socks were soaked for the rest of the round? No i bet it was totally worth the 1 stroke you saved yourself XD Take your shoes off next time, like the pro's do

  • @seppomuppit

This was on the 17th hole and I was wearing DryJoys. If the water was deeper, I would definitely have taken the shoes and socks off!

  • no damn penalty!!!!

  • what you couldn't get it in the hole?

  • @TheOrator371

I know...I totally pushed it right!

  • @TheOrator371 why dont you try?

  • Ok to start with he couldnt of done this because humans cant stand on water. plus ts impossible to hit a ball out of the water like that, what happened was it was ice with a thin layer of water so when he hit it, it seemed like it was going out of the water.

  • @Papasso09

Nice theory. The water was only about an inch deep, not enough to cover the ball, which is the only reason I chose to play the shot.
