Whitney Houston was a legend... as was said at her funeral today, death is not BAD. It has to come at some point but first MJ then Amy Winehouse and now our beloved Whitney. No-one can compare to her voice, she will NEVER be forgotten.

My goodness some very strong sentiments on here - scampi1985 - hmm I think you're a bit of a mixed up cookie. Any of us can lose our way. Perhaps she was depressed. Perhaps she was lonely. Perhaps she had low self esteem and hated herself. Does it matter? She has now gone. None of us is perfect and we all have demons that manifest themselves in different ways. She was a genius and her music was amazing. But she was also human and had weaknesses. Find me one person who doesn't.

I am currently training to run my first marathon, as I am currently running mostly 10Ks and half-marathons. This song is now at my top list on my iPod. Whitney had such an amazing voice. When I cross that marathon finish line later this year, this song will be playing and her being my inspiration. TYVM Whitney, and RIP!

The members of New Edition said years ago that Whitney was actually more wild than Bobby. They were a bad combonation but you can't blame one or the other. They each had their demons to face just like all of us. Only God can and will judge us for our actions. I choose to remember her unbelievable voice and all of the great songs we were able to enjoy. @4677noel It's so easy to blame Bobby for Whitney getting into the drugs but it was Whitney that ultimately made the concious decision to take the first snort, first hit off the pipe, etc. She could have just as easily said no just as easily as she said yes. Bobby has his blame in this but no one can pin it all on him, not when she was an adult making the first decision to try the crap. Don't take that as me being a Whitney hater either cuz I love her music and grew up to this.
