Its how you EQ your amplifier and set your pre amp in the effects unit. You want to have as much of the tone of the guitar that you can get on top of the overdrive
I love the way you play, i need to know how you got the lead sound. if you want to see me with my group look up Greater Faith at awc. god bless. Im learning theory as well and i wish we could jam together
You can use any scale but it depends on what mode you're in. Sometimes you can use a minor scale over a major chord, it just depends on how you interpret the music.
Thanks for the tips, I'm still trying to learn different music theories of guitar and such since I'm still fairly new without any teacher-student experience. But I'm really feeling the sound of the way you put all your notes together and play in general.
it's crazy, theory is important....but never more important than feeling. don't get too bogged down with theory. remember, it's all about god and the music
Theory is like learning your abc's. Its very important. The Bible says that we should be skillfull and being skillful is simply understanding theory. Theory is not to take away the fact that we should not play to God. Rather it helps us understand exactly what we are playing to God. Theory leads to understanding. We can never be bogged down with something God created. God created music and theory.
I agree. I majored in math in college and took music theory classes as an elective and it helped me figure out how to play keys and bass. Theory really helps you understand what's going inside of the music.
I've watched this vid and the vid where he plays the bass to this same track and I'm left with one question...what brand of gum is he chewing cause I want some too if it'll make me play like that! Lol!
love the playing! kilt it
