  • I'm trying out for All-State Choir with this! Wish me luck!

  • This is a nice song, I have to learn it for solo & ensemble!

  • Is this in the key of G?

  • @asmithtenor yeah

  • A strophic song made absolutely captivating!

  • Ian Bostridge & this song were made for each other, beautiful version of this traditional song, There really are some lovely versions on youtube, my favourite John Shirley- Quirk.

  • Gorgeous!

  • Excellent diction. Very important in English, which is not the easiest language to sing. Also, beautiful tenor voice and fine accompanist! I'm favoriting this one!

  • Learned this for solo and ensemble, very beautiful and fun song.

  • Very nice. Beautiful rendition.

  • Nice rendition ....many othe utubers are very stilted.

  • Very accomplished indeed.

  • This is my lad -- I would wander through Shropshire with him, and quote Housman very softly...

  • Lovely version. Ian Bostridge is also a pretty high powered academic - doctorate in social history of witchcraft ! Also very, very tall.

  • Really does it justice. I seem to remember Ian Partridge recording a similarly effective rendition.

  • My favorite solo, perhaps of all time.

  • Simply superb.

  • Oh... Lovely.
