As for the true church instituted by Jesus per MegaKrishan, I suppose that is very much a matter of opinion. I can't recall any accounts of Jesus, or Peter, swanning about a baldachinoed altar in a gilt cope with dozens of acolytes, but THEN I read the 1611 Protestant version..

Wenn noch mehr Italiener versuchen dem Papst was zu singen klingst bald echt genauso furchtbar im Petersdom, wie ne Belcanto-Oper. Ich warte nur drauf, dass anstelle des "Tu es Petrus" der Triumphmarsch aus Aida zum Text des Hl. Augustinus gesungen wird. Was würde Luther dazu wohl sagen???

this is true, the execution is not the best. But this takes place during a religious cerimony, not just to sing like in westminster or in other places. The roman chanting school is older than others and i think they know what they sing!

@wouter064 Have you ever read the Bible? Christ choosing the Apostles who later chose Bishops, this Apostolic Succession of Bishops still lives today in the Catholic and Orthodox Churches. The Church is and has always been the church for not only the common people but for all people. The Protestants broke away from the true church and formed heresy. The protestants are imitating the true form of Christianity. Luther reverted and came back to the church on his deathbed but chaos was erupting.
