This dress was probably made of silk, the way it shriveled up and resisted the heat and the under skirt was probably nylon by the way it melted. Was it satin cant tell in the dark but would have been nice to have worn it and come in it before it was destroyed. any still photos of the dress prior to burning ?.
Yes it burned lovely I think that it was made of nylon the way it burned and melted. I think it would have been better in daylight myself could see it better.
Wish I could have seen this dress before it got torched. Looks like a lovely dress burnt would have been better if we could have seen it in daylight. To late now gone for ever.

It was a very heavy polyester satin. I think it must have burned for 30 min in a pile on the ground!
