  • incredible remix.

  • this song is so beautiful....lets appreciate this masterpiece and stop whining about Soulja Boy or any other wack artist. Just concentrate on the good, people. One.

  • hip hop with substance, we need it back people need to stop selling out

  • I can't understand why all these incredible lyricists and mc's aint doing more to educate our younger generation and preserving the real hiphop vibe. Now days I'm ashamed to call anything other then this hiphop. Go scouting for new, down to earth talents and build up our beloved culture to where it once were. People done forgotten what it's all about.

  • im so glad that theres people out there that supports real hip hop.

  • ahhhh this is my song!!!

  • I loovee this remix so much..but I think we don't need to bring back any era, things change for a reason. Hip-hop is already moving forward, we just have to look in the right places, and support good music!

  • aaaahhh dis is fucking beautiful!!!!!!

  • aaaahhh dis is fucking beautiful!!!!!!

  • aaaahhh dis is fucking beautiful!!!!!!

  • 1st time I saw JAY DEE's name in credits was on this remix.

  • Jay's 1995 work has to be the best in his career.

  • can anyone get me the acapella for this song

  • Dude Fatlip killed this beat. Slim kid did good too. Man I wish Fatlip didn't stop spittin. He was VERY underrated. R.I.P Dilla.

  • @beatstro Completely agree, fatlip is sooo sick. I've memorized his part because it's so good. Definitley part of the sound to my life.

  • What also occurs to me, is how few videos Dilla has made, and the views against his tracks demonstrate you don't have to drive around in a Merc's you don't own, and have girls on view who wouldn't even pee on you if you were not the in thing, man this is the real deal, brothers who do it for love first, which for me is the essence of creating music that people love. The brother is just immense, hands down.

  • My favorite Dilla remix. Beat is beyond words....

  • @ThomasCrownChronicle Concur. But i think 'Look Of Love' is very close, relative to it's ambience. Peace.

  • yea fuck modern music i was born in the early 80s i miss 90s hip hop, aka real hip hop, like Tribe, Slum Village, Camp Lo, and the list goes one

  • PHARCYDE !!!

  • this song is F*$#%ng orgasmic

  • OH. MY. GOD

  • OH. MY. GOD

  • eight people were born without hearts.

  • Blunt rolled. Song started. Nirvana

  • Happy Birthday James. Rest In Peace In Abundance ...

  • this song reminds me of so much beautiful moments in my life... its one of my all-time-favourites! really miss the times when hip hop sounded like this! although there still are artists who keepin it real, like Dilla's brother for example!

  • Any London-heads here I want to see you all in the capital on Sunday night to celebrate the genuis that is J-Dilla. As for this song, I cant take my finger off the repeat button!

  • very year rap is getting dumber and dumber i wana get knowledge, story, poetry, and real music.

  • The original beat for the song is gawbage.

    J couldn't take it

    so he made this remix.

  • hahaha @ youtube liner note shout outs

  • Like it! Thank you, Drama! XD

  • This has to be one of the most underated albums of all time

    The Pharcyde- Labcabinclifornia

if this song was on i dont think it would be so overlookd

  • Haven't heard the original but I can say right now that this one is better.

  • Soulshock & Karlin sampled this for tupac 'do 4 love' beat.

  • @UKFutureSounds1 That was a bobby caldwell sample.

  • @Lauriginal yeh the chorus was the bobby caldwell sample, the drums and bass (i think) were taken from this. dilla spoke about it in an interview. cant remember all the details now though.

  • @TheReviewestt some how i'm hearing something from an Earth Wind and Fire song but cant figure the name of the tune... : ( Absolutely loooove this mix

  • Yeah, nothin like openinn up the sunroof and bumpin in a classic benz down Wilshire Bl, headed south down Crenshaw ...... Bummpinnnn.. HOOOMP HOOOMP TING HOOMP! HUMPIN!

  • i dont want to stop listening

  • nothing tops old school dilla and j swift production. they'd sample, like, five different records for one beat, even the drums. i try to make beats on fl studio with the same formula but they're never as good ha ha

  • @porkfriedchinkfood who is he? what is his job?

  • wow...now i've heard this cut over 1,000000000 (you get the point) times, i even own the shit, and never knew why i loved it so much. now i know. j. dilla. thanks for the post.

  • why cant hip hop sound like this anymore? damn solja boy killing hip hop with all that "pretty boy swag" shit. we really need to bring back 90's style hip hop.

  • @JAYB1688 Sadly i dont think its ever gonna come back like that, you cant really even blame people like solja boy, people like him arent whats killing it. Its the people who listen to it. Noones forcing them to, let them listen to the junk they want, and lets just keep vibing to this good music here.

  • @bunj1 yeah u right. i listen to this type of music everyday. i barely listen to the radio.

  • @JAYB1688 word is born. long live classic hip hop

  • @DrKushBurns amen to that brotha.

  • @JAYB1688 I HATE SOULJA BOY's music, but I respect him for admitting he was the complete opposite of hip-hop and that he respected hip-hop, in a random interview i saw after typing hip-hop in the search bar for youtube.

  • @ProjectAsian but the fact is, u typed 'hip hop' and found soulja boy. not good. i've nothing against him either, just the industry which in 10 years will probably label him a hip hop legend.

  • @JAYB1688 JayB LOVIN' you for that comment! I couldn't agree with you more. I have an 11 yr old son and the crap he listens to makes me want to rip my ears off. THIS is what it should sound like! Props!

  • @psouthard lol. im just putting the word out there. hopefully your son will will realize what real hip hop is.

  • @JAYB1688 true true true

  • @JAYB1688 This pretty boy stuff is some lokey homothug stuff.

The master plan is to turn all black men in punks ,Bow down negrows.

Why you think so many black people are being killed or sent to a prison plantation.

The master plan is to isolate and reduce the population thru the use of AIDS a genocide population germ

warfare. Look at all the raping that goes in these prison's ? It's allowed to go on,just like on a slave boat.

  • @gat333 glad that they actually have some ppl who see through the new world disorder

  • @JAYB1688 what really needs to happen is the revival of yo! mtv raps

  • @ARTofficialSteez you are so right.

  • @JAYB1688 Thank you. sooo true...

  • @ZappJazz im just putting the truth out there.

  • @JAYB1688 wat the fuk r u talkin bout solja boy aint hip hop period theres no shitty hip hop sound now all of that is pop music titled as hip hop people still got nice sounds like dilated peoples

  • @JAYB1688 don't worry man... it will be back. we just have to be patient

  • @JAYB1688 hip hop is still here with the sounds of flylo, afta 1 etc etc

  • @JAYB1688

thatd be cool, except it's 2011. not the 90's.

  • @JAYB1688 you're proof that it hasn't died yet. i don't think our culture can perpetuate, with the way its going. one day we will all see how fucking dumb it is. Watch aphex twin's video - windowlicker if you wanna see a good satire on modern hip hop culture

  • @JAYB1688 thats not hip hop, this is hip hop lol

  • @JAYB1688 Its always been like that.. there is still good hip hop out there you just have to find it like its always been.. Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Raekwon, GZA, KRS one, 9th Wonder and heaps more have brought out killer shit in the past few years..

  • @JAYB1688 im a fan of j dilla, madlib nujabes, uyami hiroto flylo etc. and soulja boy claimed, he is NOT hiphop nor rap in a interview over a year ago. jus a little fyi. no need to diss people that dont needa b dissed..

  • quite possibly the dopest shit i've ever heard
