yeah it become the tommy ranger pretty much but hey the fans brought he back to start with. For me and people I knew growing up it wasnt a problem because during that time it was very hard liking new outsider aka replacements but people got over it and tommy stole the show. For me though, I liked tommy and like alot of what they did for the 2nd season.

why is it hard to realize why this show was a hit. it was funny and had great fight scenes. This show was a action comedy. when your a kid grewing up with this kind of show you take everything they did serious and wanted to be kickass and be a super hero. Im older now and still could watch this show for its humor and fights. amazing to add and funny. The concept was a smart and great idea.

I never really got how it "wasn't bad" when the show stoped being about teamwork. I really have a strong liking for team-based superhero shows done right, like the x-men when its done right, and sentai(which is done right for the most part). I'm sorry, but when PR became the tommy show, it lost most of its appeal for me.

Saban owned power rangers up to I think Wild Force.He also owned FOX.Disney then bought the series.And this year is possibley the last year of rangers.And the new (Hopefully not the last) and it is called RPM.Disney ruined Power Rangers.The only series they had that was good was Dino Thunder because Tommy returned and they did the Mighty Morphing Theme in it.And yes Saban is out of Business.He sold both Fox and Rangers and became a publican or something in some other country but didn't go far.

@silverlightsaber I know that. I didn't know Saban was still around when I made this video. I am very happy they are and pleased they bought back PR but not convinced anything will really change. The only way to make PR cool again is to have reboot movie that revitalizes the franchise in an epic, serious way like Transformers. I 100% believe this film needs to be made and is a gold mine waiting to happen!

@silverlightsaber ^ &then a steady WELL cast put together cast, great stories, resist making it over the top and dont' change power's/theme every season. I swear between ninjas and storms, 'Jurassic Park escapees as Zords (tho the original was the best, duh lol) Turbo, outter space, 'back to the future' time travel, wow what else - 'discovery channel wild discovery' - sriously tho; 'WIld Force' I mean its like they covered EVERY theme/power icon except maybe food or music. I remember Mighty Morpahn Power Rangers. This was a hudge sho win my childhood. I absoulity loved it. Like yourself I could sit down and watch this today and just love it and go right back to my childhood. I loved the action sequences. I absoulity agree it was a show that happened at the right time. 90's pop culture rocked. I remember I fanced Kimberaly the pink ranger. What a fantastic theme tune to this show. All together "It's Morphan Time!".

It rebrought up my crush on Kimberly and forced me to get the little communicator sound on my cell phone. But anyway I eventually grew up and was drawn towards Batman but Tommy was the reason I got into Martial Arts and I've always been a Tommy fan but Jason was always a close 2nd

When I was a kid, I LOVED Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. Jason was my favourite. I was a 5-year old little geek for them. I was so proud of myself for knowing their colours and weapons and what they 'morphed' into. Then later on, I moved on to Sailor Moon and I grew out of Power Rangers, but it was still a large part of my child hood, and I'm enjoying hearing you talk about it here. It really brings me back. Even just hearing their theme tune in the background made me smile. ^_^

One of the things that bugs me about the show looking back is the fact that the bad guys knew the Rangers' secret identities. So they could spied on them constantly, attack the Rangers in their civilian identities at any time, and always threatened their loved ones whenever they came to town. And this never bothered the Rangers one bit. Thoughts?

Did you know that the first yellow ranger( I don't know her name) was in that horrible movie the Crow : city of angels and shortly after died in a car crash ? 2) Of course I knew that about Trini. It was hard to watch her in The Crow: City of Angels because she was so evil. I've followed the actors' careers since MMPR. It's been hard though because many have faded out of the public eye.

I was in 7th grade when this show came on the air and I loved it. I was a Tommy fan but I liked the dynamic between Jason and Tommy. When Jason left and Rocky replaced him that dynamic was gone and there was sort of a void. I did think that Aisha and Adam were suitable replacements for Trini and Zack but Rocky just didn't seem to belong to me. I hope that a DVD box set of this show eventually gets released.

jason david frank was actually going to play the role of adam in (cypertron) VR troopers and the guy who played the main character in VR troopers was going to play the white ranger. true rocky wasnt the leader that jason was, but it was explained while jason was still around that the white ranger was now the leader. i was more of a billy fan.

I remember that, but Jason was a strong leader. Even when Tommy came back as White, Jason was still clearly a strong force. When Rocky came around, he was just like any other ranger. It really brought down the importance of the Red Ranger from then on (I think).

Ahh the memories... I remember the massive obsession all of my friends and I had with this show. In kindergarten, 'Santa Clause' came to visit and all the boys in class asked for Red Rangers and White Rangers.. I, being in love with the villains, asked for Lord Zedd and got dirty looks hahah.

When the movie came out it was like a culmination of a great childhood experience... cuz after that I didn't watch anymore lol Not that the film was bad... it just began to grow into a new show.
