  • Thank you so much for pointing out in Joel it says they will cease. I believe that has been the missing piece in this puzzle for me :)

  • What a bunch of crap!!!! Speaking in tonques... misinterpreted completely. γλωσσα, meant language, not jibberish.

  • but that which is perfect has come thats jesus

  • Keep up the good work!

  • where do I start first of all!! is longsuffering it means patience not suffering!!!!!!! God!!! learn how to say things and I can speak in tongues !!! and a lot more people 2 cease meaning less and less with time not end if all that ends we will be like zombies cuz that's are strength!! holy spirit !!!! does who need support with God stuff I am 19 puerto rican model/actor all the way to God here to help email me at Bori-model@live.com

  • There are many, many people who speak in Tongues Today.

So much, for your comment, that this gift was only for a specific short time.

In addition, I have seen 2 miracles from God, after I have prayed for them

to be healed. Once again, how could an instant healing happen, if the

gifts were only for a short time, in the Old Testament...

Bigger question - I don't believe that you are a True follower of Jesus.

Do you, actually believe, that you are a Christian ?

  • @vitoinomaha - I can only ask this about healing. Have you EVER seen an amputated leg restored? A person with palsy healed? A man born blind or deaf given sight/hearing? A withered hand stretched out? If someone had the power to heal in that manner and didn't go to the neonatal units and heal the children, I would say they are not Christian. Miracles are still happening, and the video didn't say there are no miracles. It speaks in line of cessation of gifts given to an individual.

  • @vitoinomaha Is this a discussion amongst family or a war against enemies? Has this man said Christ is not God or Jesus is not the Christ? I've been very passionate in discussion amongst christian brother's and sister's before but unless someone calls into question Christ deity, the nature of God or Christ atonement on the cross, is it righteous to call into question His salvation? This man has expressed clearly His belief on scripture and done a very good job of it.

  • I only know of one organization/cult (as a whole) that believes you must speak in tongues to be saved and you should post who it is. That very cult isn't even considered christian by the main Pentecostal denominations. True pentecostals don't think this way. Your take on the 40 yrs cessation isn't backed by church fathers either. With little effort people can go to the works of these men and see them testify to gifts in operation long after the death of John! (Gift vs Baptism)

  • @dogfight55 I don't take my Bible cues from "church" fathers who were not around when God inspired the apostles. We should be careful not to elevate the opinions of men above what is written in scripture. Why does the word of God have to be backed by church fathers? Where have you ever seen God tell anyone to believe something because the "church fathers" said so? When Moses went to Israel to tell them God send him to deliver them from Pharaoh, did he ask the church fathers opinion?

  • Thanks for this, I love your voice too :)

One thing I've noticed about miracle chasers is that they seek favor in this life and regard success as one of the hallmarks of God's love toward them.

Now here's the confusing part, most of these people display dedication and fervor for God far beyond what I could ever muster. The question is, if not for the expectation of worldly rewards such as these "gifts" or other contraptions, how does one convince these people to believe in Jesus the proper way?

  • @junkacc11 The best answer I can give for that is the one Jesus gave in connection with the rich man who wanted to send someone back from the dead to warn his living brothers not to come to that place. Jesus said, "They have Moses and the Prophets, let them hear them. (i.e. the word of God). If they do not hear them, neither will they be persuaded through one rise from the dead." (Luke 16:30-31). According to Christ, if they don't believe the word, there is no help for them.

  • @junkacc11 I think we have to rely upon the Lord's own statement to Thomas who doubted that he had risen from the dead. After Thomas had tangible proof of Jesus' miraculous resurrection he believed saying "My Lord and my God!" Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believed." (John 20:28-29). When they have enough faith to believe God because he "says" something then they will trust his word vs needing demonstrations.

  • @AllThingsFulfilled

I think Paul had the same problem with the Corinthians. As he said, they fed on milk because they weren't ready for proper food. The problem was, they didn't want to grow up so they kept seeking the milk and ended up in a "My milk is better than your milk" contest.

  • don't believe this god can still use people to heal just watch binny hinn and i have dreams about healing people too this guy don't know what he is talking about says god will pore out his spirit in the last days

  • Excellent video on a very crucial topic. We now have Pentecostal Churches claiming to have modern day prophets and apostles. Where will the madness end. Jesus Himself told His disciples not to rejoice because the demons were subject to them but because their names were written in the book of life. Very well done Bill. God bless you!
