although it looks plausible, it's also plausible to create this effect in Final Cut Pro. What makes me doubt it is: (1) I recall that ethanol is infinitely soluble in water (and vice versa) so that any contact they have will result in mixture, NOT separation (unlike oil and water). if this was not so, you could never water down a drink! (2), any liquid that could traverse the card will (by capillary action) wet the card, eventually dripping liquid, no such thing happens.

Dude, IT'S SO FREAKING EASY! Water is heavier that Whiskey or Vice Versa I forget. The credit card inbetween the two glasses has such a small hole on the right , it allows water to leak through over a long period of time, as I mentioned one if the liquids is heavier than the other , in this case water ( I think) and the water rushes to the bottom of the whiskey and pushes the whiskey up, and since the whiskey has no room to go other than the space the water came from , the liquid moves up!

Well you can, coca cola (classic) density is 1110 kg/m^3 (cubic meter).

So if a coke's density is 1110 kg/m^3 against water which has a density of 998 kg/m^3.

It means that coke is heavier. Absolutely, you can do that, coke should be on top and it supposes to settle down while displacing the water.

I have tried it and it works!! Water is more dense than alcohol. Density of Water @ 20c = 998 kg/m^3 (cubic meter), whereas Alcohol has a density of 785 kg/m^3. Water is heavier obviously and therefore, it is settling down while displacing Alcohol upwards.
