A great game that I'm LPing now in its Spanish version ^_^ I'm having sme problems to record it, though. You seem to have captured the scene with great quality. What encoder and recording program did you use, and at what Frame Rate did you record this?
I am glad you liked the video. I used the built in recording function in DOSBox to capture this. You can probably find more information here: dosbox.com/wiki/Recording_Video
This game was awesome. Very creepy, and great music. I remember there was also a museum mini-game where you could walk through the "Lovecraft Museum" and look at various exhibits.
I remember a website that had the Alone in the Dark music in a .RAW adplug format, so it sounded like it came directly out of the game. Does anyone know how to make these formats? I've been wanting the Shadow of the Comet soundtrack like that forever...
This game is pure genius. Usually its hard for me to get into games that go so far back, but any work inspired or visualized in H.P. Lovecraft's work is something I'm always willing to give a chance to. The only other great game that was inspired by Lovecraft that I played was Alone In The Dark of the 90s, and only recently I learned of this one and have successfully completed it. I wish there more games like these, that were mind bogglingly terrifying.
I love it, wish I can play this like I did back in the day, don't have a win 95 or prior though :(. I am glad you posted this cause' it brings back lots of good memories, thank you!

The way those two dudes keep montonously chattering their jaws long after they said their lines makes it look like they're grazing. XD

Is there anyway you can turn the subtitles off at the start of the game so you can watch the intro without them?

The pacing of the dialogues i assume is due to CD-Rom access right?

@TheSpoofMan3 If you're looking for others, Eternal Darkness and Penumbra are two excellent games based loosely on the Cthulhu Mythos.

Actually somebody has already done a playthrough of Prisoner of Ice.

I'm thinking of doing one once I'm done with Alone in the Dark.
POLE7645 3 years ago
Please do it. The only reason I stumbled upon this was because I was watching your AITD playthrough, and, thus, your Boleskine journal remark...

I hope you have the CD version with ENGLISH speech pack. I'd just love to hear those creepy incantations!
Arjozof 3 years ago
I have a multi-language version, but the speech is always in English. The only changes are in the subtitles and the written text.
POLE7645 3 years ago
Awesome! Can't wait to see it on youtube then! Good luck in the catacombs!

For now, I'm a bit stuck at the town hall. I get the right number sequence, say the right things to the officer, but I still get caught.

If you want to play this game again, use DOSbox and download it from a site like home of the underdogs. Not hard, nor illegal. :P
