  • Where is the earthquake?

  • i love that view. bu tthe qake is scary!!

  • puke

  • wow tokyo looks huuge

  • compare to all those sci-fi movies and clips this quake looks very tame...if this was a sci-fi alot of those buildings in the back round would be collapsing.

  • This is no earth queake

  • that be scary as hell, but in reality that is the best place for you to be cuz the skyscrapers are built to sway when shit like this happens

  • Awsome view...what floor do u live on?..and does this happen on a daily basis for living up so high?..The highest up i ever been was 17 floors up..(No Balcony)..above me was the Penthouse..all i ever felt durring thunderstroms that were strong was some kind of vibration sorta like a huge truck driving by

  • the WORST scenario ever for a man with Acrophobia

  • @abdo1597413 what si acrophobia?

  • @minniv268 Fear of heights

  • @abdo1597413 oh it actually is like a disorder or something cause i never knew it had a real name i though it was just scared of heights lol

  • @abdo1597413 You can find a named phobia almost about everything ... it's normal to fear heights but for someone with a phobia against heights it's a whoooole new experience

  • @abdo1597413 You can find a named phobia almost about everything ... it's normal to fear heights but for someone with a phobia against heights it's a whoooole new experience

  • OH shit! I would be out of there PRONTO!!!!!!!!

  • wtf

  • great town!

  • same here.

  • im an indian but i beleave that japan ppls are very hard workers and inteligent im sure that japan will recover soon but y again again japan? i pray for japan

  • Run Run run ,Who made Godzilla mad again ,guess right win a prize.

  • i heard that there are more than 5 small EQs in Tokyo everyday...

  • scary buildings.

  • @SWEOlliewollie How the hell is it fake? you obviously don't know shit...the buildings are made to sway with plates built under them so incase of a quake it takes in the shock..if it didnt have the plates and the building didnt sway it would have much greater risk of braking.

  • Brix were definitely shat..

  • what floor was that?

  • i would b shitting my fucking pants

  • so thats what a swaying 1000 foot high skyscraper sounds like... scary

  • japanese buildings wont collapse

  • BORING

  • CHANGE PANTS NOW

  • another reason why i dont get into tall buildings

  • I would be torn between shitting my pants and running.

  • omg i would rather run then stay!!

  • Fake. A building that high would not be build by wood. You can easily hear wood soundes

  • @Southparktubez OMG The stupidity you have is hopeless...what a great conclusion, this is fake because the building is to high to be made out of wood... WTFFFFF.... take out your head from your ass, and start to breath some none toxic air... Japan have the most important quakes every year, and thats is a real one....the Sound is from the wooden floors and celling designs. Or course the building isnt made out of wood....

  • @Southparktubez dude youre an idiot

  • @TheEliteArbiter So just bcuz the building is that tall means theres absolutly no wood in it? The other guy has a point, floors, ceilings.

  • @TheBassguy1 i never said there is no wood in it, where did you get that from of course there is wood in the building but southparktubez thought that the building is made out of wood and i said youre an idiot for thinking something that stupid

  • @TheEliteArbiter Ha, im the idiot? i live in a wooden structure and i dont even hear wood during earthquakes. im just saying that he makes more sense than u do.

  • @TheBassguy1 if there is a response to this video and it says theelitearbiter@elitearbiter it actually meant to be read by you

  • @TheEliteArbiter you make no sense

  • @TheEliteArbiter I never said your'e a idiot I said he is! southparktubez thinks the building was made entirely out of wood so he concluded the this is fake and I said in your response that of course there is wood in the building but the whole building isnt made out of wood which he thinks! he just did'nt know that the building isnt made entirely out of wood so i'm sorry to southparktubez for calling you an idiot i did'nt wanna start some stupid little fight with someone who miss-understood me

  • You are lucky, my camera takes twenty seconds to start-up, by that time I would have missed filming the event, for prosperity.

    Nice view !

    cheers.

    from,

    del-boy

  • ¡Qué miedooo!

  • i think ive figured out people just dont give a fuck. chile tsunami and those california surfers run to that fucking tsunami. monsoons earthquakes.. people just chill. i think new york would just be shitting bricks

  • holy shit. i would shit myself

  • Watching this video feel tense, I could cut the tension with a knife. I like it.

  • This quake was on the west coast of Japan, while Tokyo is on the east coast , thus Tokyo got nowhere the energy of an 6.7. If I remember correctly no quake larger than about a 5.0 in Tokyo itself has struck since the 7.9 1923 Great Kantō earthquake in which my grandfather lost a brother and was almost killed himself. Latest estimates if a quake the magnitude of the Great Kantō were to hit Tokyo today are over 1 million deaths with tens of millions injured.

  • I won't stay 1 sec in this room...

  • Wow what a view you have there! I would have a parachute incase the lifts failed!

  • well i think the guys there live this everyday

  • Oh my god I would be crapping myself regardless of how earthquake proof my 300 metre high tower was!

  • interesting

  • Yikes

  • I`ve been in a aftershock it`s 7.2 magnitude it did some damage it cracked our balcony the quarter of it collapse so as our garage roof but 1000 feet up in air i would be wetting my boxer shorts or whatever the tower carpet will be wet yuck!!!

  • That noise would have freaked me out... I've been in an earthquake before, but knowing that I'm about a 1,000 feet in the air with the building making that kind of noise, I would've been shitting my pants...

  • i wanna go to japan..but if i was at a hotel and that happend..wow id trip out

  • DAYUM, engineers are a really clever bunch aren't they?

  • I'd be downstairs like a shot :)

  • not me man. that is crazy!

  • Whoa man, that was fucking triippyyy

  • OH SHITE! That's scarry...

Good thing they build properly in Japan, the rest of the world should take note.

  • @shivercanada thats a very good point on the building front, thats why places like haiti and areas of China have such a high death toll when a quake hits.

  • That scared me just WATCHING that.

  • god, id be shitting my pants...

  • It is an everyday experience in Japan.

  • @CrimeAvenger2 what? i live in japan and ive experienced one medium sized earthquake in 6 months of being here. it doesnt happen every day.

  • @phixxwutwut

    Nice to meet you.

Please think that neighbors are making love.

Japanese people continues daily life until the window cracks due to the earthquake.

  • insane!

    great video man, thanks

  • your calm.

  • Yeah most of our buildings here in Melbourne (Australia) and made to withstand and sway during large earthquakes. Our magntiude 6.0-7.9 quakes happen every 200 years here in Melbourne! One is currently 100 and something years over due so were all waiting! but were not scared

  • if i woke up to that i wud be out of there in a heartbeat

  • these tall buildings are suppose to do this... its actually a safety feature to prevent them from collapsing so quickly... we have the same thing in our buildings from San diego up the west coast to Seattle.

  • Yeah, I worked on top of the world trade center and it used to rock at times,

  • wow u have a heart to stood in tht buildin recordin tht.....i would run the hell out of the there...thts sum scary shitt

  • i would pee in ma pants :O Q.Q that is so scart :S :-s

  • maybe living in a highrise in an earthquake zone isn't such a good idea...

  • Looool ! :O

  • Well, I must say that that's one of the last places I'd wanna be during an earthquake.... One of the taller buildings in Tokyo.

  • THATS NOT GOOD

  • man if that thing fell your done with!

  • Your wake up call? Do you sleep in Tokyo tower? XD

  • the building has to wave so it doesnt be destroyed

  • do all newish building wave?

  • most of them

  • even if theyre designed to do that i still wouldnt live in a tower block in japan, a nice rancher or even just a tent in the middle of a field with nothing around it to fall on it lol

  • I grew up in Tokyo, and we're fortunate enough to live in a regular house, but most people in Tokyo live in apts. because real estate is so expensive. I'm with you though, because believe me, I ususally ran out of the house during these things. They can be scary.

  • if that was 9..5 quake the building will topple

  • i think if you go past something like 9 on the scale it basically means the earth with shake its self appart, or something along those lines. It may be 10 on the scale though

  • ...even when LA is not a country, hehe... but yup, 9.5 would turn us all to dust, and I can't assure any building or any city is safe, 'cause we have never felt a 9.5 in our cities. The strongest earthquake ever registered was in 1960 in Chile, it was 9.5, after that the 2nd one was in 1964 in Alaska (9.3, .4 sth like that), and then 9.1 Sumatra n stuff... but never in out cities so we can just not assure we are safe, time will tell.

    XO

  • chrisbarstow:

    no, including LA

  • a 9.5 would make chuck norris fall over

  • Seems like he held his breath for the first 30 seconds of this vid. Would scare me shitless

  • I would be shittin myself if my house started creaking like that

  • OMG same! And it's not like you could get out your house quickly...your like 20 stories up..

  • fuck that!

  • omfg i would fucking be so scared omfg

  • I would shit my pants if that happened to me. I don't like heights to begin with, but this would be too much.

  • Hey Doggfair, Over 6,000 people died in 1995 in Kobe, Japan during a 7.2 quake. Modern Japanese construction is pretty good but a lot of the older structures(mainly homes) are still shit.

  • the building did what it was designed to do...nothing to be scared about

  • You almost can't "see" what's going on but if you pain attention to the creaking sound of the building swaying back and forth you can "hear" the scary moment that this guy lived in his apartment from the 27th floor.

  • nothing happens just the view of tokyo

  • i would get out of there

  • wat the fuk tht was nothing

  • shud have left the camera on table ..so we cud see how much it vibrated any wez he/she is brave enough

  • In the Los Angeles eartquake which was only like 5.6 or 5.8 I could hear the beams of metal as they bent from side to side. It was such a creepy sound. And i could see the other highrises sway from side to side. Downtown LA was bustling with people when the quake it. Everyone was caught by surprise as in with any earthquake.

  • F*&$% that.....

  • i sure as heck wouldnt want to live in a tall building especially in a city or place where theres earthquakes frequently.

  • They're actually safer than smaller buildings because they sway.

  • Japan earthquake prevention technology is the shit man, you see when there's a 6-7 earthquake on US, a lot of people dies, but never on Japan, dude.

  • my ass would have been running down the stairs full speed

  • not quite a good idea to run down the stairs, they will fall down first! (google it) ;)

  • @Docheskid That is the worst thing you can do in an earthquake. Stairs or elevators are a big no no...

  • Holy shit thats the chinese source, destroy it!

  • Oh holy shit.....they would literally have to come and pry my hands off of whatever I had grabbed hold of.....I'm deathly afraid of heights...I would not have been scared to be IN the apartment looking out...but once it started to shake???? Oh HELL no.................

  • HA HA HA I can't even get near the windows at hotels never mind the balconies. This scene is one of my nightmares.

  • shitttzzzzzz.....

  • Tokyo is a BIG ASS city!!!

  • Well it IS pretty big, but uh...I don't think that it's an ass city...you might be thinking of new york city...

  • ok thanks for the info

  • kill you

  • Being in an earthquake is some scary shit

  • fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • id be shitting myself.

  • lol, I thought exactly the same thing when I watched this clip...

  • wow, it was moving :|

  • Oh Kewl! U dont have to go out to sea to experience swaying.. u can have it in the luctuary of your own home! I mean hey, most people on boats aint scared of a little bit of swaying, so how is this any different lol!! ;-)

  • seek man jump

  • once my father was working in his office at the 22nd floor of a skyscraper and the building started to rock left and right. Since then he fears earthquakes more the anyone else! lol

  • thats a badass view of the city

  • be sensible and moove out of your highrise home to a house the big one is coming and it will topple buildings like the one your in

  • i would be scared as hell

  • SWEEEEEEEEEEEET MOTHER OF GOD.

    LOOOOOOOOL

I would have just passed out!

But aren't japanese high rise buildings designed to bend and sway ? lol

  • Remind me not to get the penthouse suite when i go to Japan. And if I forget, hell ill just bring a damn parachute just in case .

  • i felt that fucker--fuckin woke me up too

  • my dad was on like 42nd floor in the in tokyo that was like 4-5 weeks ago

  • o dear god .. i dont even know what i would do

  • GOD DAMN Why are there soo many earthquakes now a days?

  • because you touch yourself at night.

  • Nice Job!

  • fucking shit that's crazy

  • i would shit my pants if i woke up to my building swaying

  • :0! Thats SCARY! HOLY CRAP! I'D BE THINKING "HOW THE HELL DO I GET OUT OF HERE" NOT, "hey dude, that buildings shaking lets get out the camera! :p"

    dude, come on!

  • Oh fuck. You can hear it creaking in its place as it sways. CRAZY!

  • holy shit

i would be screaming my face off

  • OMG !!! You were soooo calm !!! In which floor where you at ??

  • Yikes!! We had some earthquakes here in Manchester, England - the biggest was about 3.8 I think, and I shit myself lol. I would prob have passed out if I were you - but you are prob used to shit like that innit?

  • lol =O i think it's like here in canada , our last one was 4.3 that was about 4 years ago lol , but we where advized that our next earthquake could be atleast 5.

  • I was having a shit when the earthquake hit, so i suppose i can say I shit myself?

  • omg my jaw dropped. That is the scarest fucken thing I have ever seen.

  • wow thats a nice view of a huge city u have there.

  • OMG that must be scary

  • WOW! I'd be shitting my pants!

  • omg, omg it took a long second to realize that it's your building that's swaying. Oh man

  • damn, we had an earthquake here in Greece. can be funny but can be deadly too...

  • Wow. You can actually see the buildings swaying. Check out the one on the left and line up the building outside to the left with the red thing in the window and you can clearly see the buildings swaying. Full screen is scary. Cool video...

  • i was in tokyo at that time, i was in class when i felt the earhtquake..

  • omg great video!!

  • omg! the whole building is moving!

  • nice!

  • i wouldnt of went near the window, i would of lied down on the floor for some reason.. o_O

  • True, but if the buiding failed. Your shit anyhow!

  • holy shit thats insane!! you could actually see it move by inches out the window!! thats so kewl I'd love to experience it.

  • I don't get it....what are we looking for???

  • Look at borders of the window in 0:8 and outside at the same time. It's a movement... awesome

  • id crap myself

  • great view

  • do you sleep with a camera?

  • i dont get it

  • run for your life!
