@SWEOlliewollie How the hell is it fake? you obviously don't know shit...the buildings are made to sway with plates built under them so incase of a quake it takes in the shock..if it didnt have the plates and the building didnt sway it would have much greater risk of braking.
@Southparktubez OMG The stupidity you have is hopeless...what a great conclusion, this is fake because the building is to high to be made out of wood... WTFFFFF.... take out your head from your ass, and start to breath some none toxic air... Japan have the most important quakes every year, and thats is a real one....the Sound is from the wooden floors and celling designs. Or course the building isnt made out of wood....
@TheBassguy1 i never said there is no wood in it, where did you get that from of course there is wood in the building but southparktubez thought that the building is made out of wood and i said youre an idiot for thinking something that stupid

i think ive figured out people just dont give a fuck. chile tsunami and those california surfers run to that fucking tsunami. monsoons earthquakes.. people just chill. i think new york would just be shitting bricks
This quake was on the west coast of Japan, while Tokyo is on the east coast , thus Tokyo got nowhere the energy of an 6.7. If I remember correctly no quake larger than about a 5.0 in Tokyo itself has struck since the 7.9 1923 Great Kantō earthquake in which my grandfather lost a brother and was almost killed himself. Latest estimates if a quake the magnitude of the Great Kantō were to hit Tokyo today are over 1 million deaths with tens of millions injured.
I`ve been in a aftershock it`s 7.2 magnitude it did some damage it cracked our balcony the quarter of it collapse so as our garage roof but 1000 feet up in air i would be wetting my boxer shorts or whatever the tower carpet will be wet yuck!!!
That noise would have freaked me out... I've been in an earthquake before, but knowing that I'm about a 1,000 feet in the air with the building making that kind of noise, I would've been shitting my pants...
@shivercanada thats a very good point on the building front, thats why places like haiti and areas of China have such a high death toll when a quake hits.
Yeah most of our buildings here in Melbourne (Australia) and made to withstand and sway during large earthquakes. Our magntiude 6.0-7.9 quakes happen every 200 years here in Melbourne! One is currently 100 and something years over due so were all waiting! but were not scared
these tall buildings are suppose to do this... its actually a safety feature to prevent them from collapsing so quickly... we have the same thing in our buildings from San diego up the west coast to Seattle.
even if theyre designed to do that i still wouldnt live in a tower block in japan, a nice rancher or even just a tent in the middle of a field with nothing around it to fall on it lol
I grew up in Tokyo, and we're fortunate enough to live in a regular house, but most people in Tokyo live in apts. because real estate is so expensive. I'm with you though, because believe me, I ususally ran out of the house during these things. They can be scary.
i think if you go past something like 9 on the scale it basically means the earth with shake its self appart, or something along those lines. It may be 10 on the scale though
...even when LA is not a country, hehe... but yup, 9.5 would turn us all to dust, and I can't assure any building or any city is safe, 'cause we have never felt a 9.5 in our cities. The strongest earthquake ever registered was in 1960 in Chile, it was 9.5, after that the 2nd one was in 1964 in Alaska (9.3, .4 sth like that), and then 9.1 Sumatra n stuff... but never in out cities so we can just not assure we are safe, time will tell.
Hey Doggfair, Over 6,000 people died in 1995 in Kobe, Japan during a 7.2 quake. Modern Japanese construction is pretty good but a lot of the older structures(mainly homes) are still shit.
You almost can't "see" what's going on but if you pain attention to the creaking sound of the building swaying back and forth you can "hear" the scary moment that this guy lived in his apartment from the 27th floor.
In the Los Angeles eartquake which was only like 5.6 or 5.8 I could hear the beams of metal as they bent from side to side. It was such a creepy sound. And i could see the other highrises sway from side to side. Downtown LA was bustling with people when the quake it. Everyone was caught by surprise as in with any earthquake.
Oh holy shit.....they would literally have to come and pry my hands off of whatever I had grabbed hold of.....I'm deathly afraid of heights...I would not have been scared to be IN the apartment looking out...but once it started to shake???? Oh HELL no.................
Oh Kewl! U dont have to go out to sea to experience swaying.. u can have it in the luctuary of your own home! I mean hey, most people on boats aint scared of a little bit of swaying, so how is this any different lol!! ;-)
