The line of cars, and then people (parking, not drive through of course) was just as long, the people just as obsessive.

@ndrocksteady...A bit?...I don't know about the in-n-out near you but the one here in San Diego (near 163) is Terrible!...They're as slow as Christmas, and the burgers are always PRE-MADE!...I have NEVER...Let me repeat this:-I HAVE NEVER RECIEVED A FRESH,HOT,BURGER FROM THIS LOCATION!...I think it's due to a lack of dedication to service,they have so much business they KNOW it would be impossible to cook these burgers to order thus reneging on their Creed, therefore issuing a subpar burger.JMO.

I don't understand the hype that In-N-Out have. I went to the In-N-Out in Allen after a month it opened. It was still crowded inside, but thankfully, there were no line. The burger was good, but the fries were terrible. Unless someone else is driving, I think I'll stick with my 5 minutes drive to Chipotle than the 30 minutes drive to In-N-Out. What I really want to try is White Castle. I heard they were really good, but I hope they're not over-hyped as In-N-Out.
I know this video seems ridiculous, but In-N-Out really does have some magic to it. I'm in Cali and every time I step into that joint, I remember all the memories I had as a kid. My friends and I would go there for the best meal and... it was just a better time.
Red meat causes cholesterol...All those calories in that burger aren't good for us...Curse me all you want, but it's true...There's no denying that it's a delicious burger and one of the most delicious burgers in the US, but the facts are the facts..Those burger buns probably has high fructose corn syrup in them and are made from bleached flour and the thousand island dressing that's used in the burger is packed with calories and saturated fat and who knows what harmones are in the burger patty.

The crying is silly, but I can understand the excitement. They are a very socially responsible company; they pay their employees better than any fast food joint (ie. a living wage + health benefits), you can watch people physically make your food, all food stuffs are shipped within a 200 mile distance, and they manage their own livestock. Not only that, they have managed to keep their prices affordable. I am not a fast food eater, but I will rock a double, double animal style.
Five Guys is in California as well. It just doesn't do as well, since In 'N Out is vastly superior with their 1940's style burgers for only $1.50. I remember people being appalled at Five Guys prices when people amassed to it when it first opened. Now it's relatively empty as an In-'N-out is just a few blocks away. I also did not like Five Guy's fries. Though I tried the salted, and not cajun. There's another fry place near here that has much better fries. (all my opinion)

I know this video seems ridiculous, but In-N-Out really does have some magic to it. I'm in Cali and every time I step into that joint, I remember all the memories I had as a kid. My friends and I would go there for the best meal and... it was just a better time.

Red meat causes cholesterol...All those calories in that burger aren't good for us...Curse me all you want, but it's true...There's no denying that it's a delicious burger and one of the most delicious burgers in the US, but the facts are the facts..Those burger buns probably has high fructose corn syrup in them and are made from bleached flour and the thousand island dressing that's used in the burger is packed with calories and saturated fat and who knows what harmones are in the burger patty.

But McDonald's has actually been PROVEN to add a silly-putty compound to the chicken nuggets and chicken sandwiches,as well as adding extra sugar to the bread.Also using tap water instead of filtered water for fountain sodas,which means fluoridated water.Silicone in the fry grease,also. At least In N Out is for the MOST part natural compared to all the rest.

@pagalley1 I don't think she was crying so much because of the food, but because of the nostalgia and the fact that she's homesick. If any of you have been to west Texas, or Dallas for that matter - you'd know just how different it is there from Southern California. For the most part, Texas is a shit hole.

The crying is silly, but I can understand the excitement. They are a very socially responsible company; they pay their employees better than any fast food joint (ie. a living wage + health benefits), you can watch people physically make your food, all food stuffs are shipped within a 200 mile distance, and they manage their own livestock. Not only that, they have managed to keep their prices affordable. I am not a fast food eater, but I will rock a double, double animal style.

Five Guys is in California as well. It just doesn't do as well, since In 'N Out is vastly superior with their 1940's style burgers for only $1.50. I remember people being appalled at Five Guys prices when people amassed to it when it first opened. Now it's relatively empty as an In-'N-out is just a few blocks away. I also did not like Five Guy's fries. Though I tried the salted, and not cajun. There's another fry place near here that has much better fries. (all my opinion)

Are the lines still long weeks after In-N-Out opened in Texas? Or is the excitement finally over?
I recall when Krystal opened in north Dallas several years ago. The lines were long for 2 - 3 months. That restaurant closed in 2010.

@sopranofan1984 you should move back to Cali and leave Wa. Who gives a s%#t about in and out! It's FAST FOOD! I've been there before. No big deal I'd rather make my own burger, tastes a lot better and I can put whatever I want and make it any size I want. There are tons of different burger places here and they're not Mc D's, Jack, Wendy's or BK. Maybe you should get out of the house more often.

Im not going to lie after leaving cali for the army and not haveing in N out for five years due to being in the Liberal lame ass state of Washington when I went back home that was my first stop. No shower no brushing of the teeth no sex with the girlfriend I got a 4x4 took one bite and let five years of tears out!!! Its so good it makes you want to smack your MAMA!!!!

@jowatcher I can somewhat relate, not to that point that i teary eyed but the reminiscing over the food in the states. I live in Sweden and we have very restricted fastfood joints, the fastfood joints in the states are top notch and you have so much to choose from. We have like 3 if you count our own burger shack "MAX" and the mcdonalds and burger king off course. You get tired of these 3 places pretty quickly. Man im not representing my country well am i? Our girls here are gorgeous! :P
